Modern hotel adjacent to a major shopping center with a large food court. Breakfast buffet was lovely and relatively secure free parking was readily available just outside the hotel. It isn’t central but rather a 20 minute Uber ride into the city or a safe one hour walk up or down hill. We did both.

I stayed at the Lodge Hôtel before and I like everything about it. The location, the rooms and especially the staff from the reception at the front desk to the restaurant. They were exceptional. I also recommended it to fellow businessmen and they were highly satisfied with everything.

Loved that it was a short walk to El Corte Ingles. That place is huge and convenient for shopping.
Very close to cross the bridge into the heart of Porto for eating and shopping as well.
We just parked our rental car and took Uber around the city for convenience. There was a train and bus right outside the building plus restaurants in the bottom of the building which was convenient.

Great vibe, busy and bustle at weekends- port houses, WOW!, great food & drink market - visited many times ( for lovely food, local wine and beer) - more relaxed than the waterfront restaurants which get busy & feel too ‘routine / lacking uniqueness’.
Metro comes to this side of the river - accessible at far end of quay near main bridge to walk across the river.

It was only a 5 minute walk down hill to several very good restaurants and the Riverside Market. The street lighting was good for coming home at night. We used the ferry to cross the river a few times but the bridge was an easy walk. The Portuguese tarts from the Bakery were to die for.

Wonderful apartments on the Gaia side of Porto with great views across and along the Douro. Centrally placed for access to both sides of the river. A short walk to both the cable car, river ferry and the twin level bridge. We actually hired 2 apartments one on top of the other, the top one had the better views and the lower one a large balcony area. Both extremely clean and well appointed.

The vibe here is different in a subtle but definite way from Porto itself on the other side of the river. This is of course a very popular area where most of the Port lodges and many other attractions are found. The hilly winding streets are still remarkably charming and unspoilt. Walk or take the Metro just a short distance south however, and you will find a busy, tidy real-life neighbourhood with its own charm and cheaper eating & drinking options.

Beautiful river-side walk, if a few too many tourist traps (stalls selling very similar materials to every other street market in Porto). Easy access from airport by metro at less than a 10th the cost of a taxi, though if you are staying down by the river it's a long walk or a taxi (or cable car!) will be needed from metro stop. Great restaurants, and of course numerous Port Houses to visit.
I was there end Aug/early Sept and temperature was very comfortable. Only issue was fog / low cloud in the morning which impacted flight arrivals and early departures.

Location a short walk from the beach was excellent. A short walk to the train station also meant we had easy access to Porto. Hotel staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Facilties including mini golf, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, and even a small playground for kids meant we had loads to do without the need to venture out if we so wished. Breakfast was great also. We really enjoyed our stay at this 5-star hotel.
The location is perfect. Very close to the bridge so easy walking distance to the Porto side and not as crowded. We had an awesome view of the river from our room on the second floor. The sunsets were magnificent. The vibe is so fun. Great restaurants close by. Great riverwalk right in front of the hotel. We were serenaded with music in the evenings. The room has soundproof windows so quiet for sleeping. We loved our stay in Gaia!
The location was great, right by the Dom Luis I bridge across to Porto, and also very close to all the tasting rooms in Vila Nova de Gaia. The room was nice, a good size, and there was a nicely supplied fridge with cold drinks and snacks that came in handy.
Great location for walking around Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto
Many restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Good parkade for parking nearby.
Host was very friendly and offered many suggestions for the area and for the Douro Valley.
Nice little pool.
The location is priceless as the view from the Living room is stunning. We met people who stayed in good hotels in Porto who lost for words when they sav.oured the view we had
