The location is in the main square which makes the location perfect. The girls at the reception desk are very friendly and helpful with suggestions. This boutique hotel is decorated beautifully, the beds comfortable and the breakfast has healthy options. We definitely recommend staying here.

This three bedroom unit is ideally located a few blocks off the main tourist area of villa de Santo Antonio. A very clean and surprising large unit with a very nice and large bathroom. The kitchen is very nice and well stocked, minus the coffee pods. The rooftop is as advertised and provides panoramic views of the city before you. It is a professionally run operation and I was really happy with our stay there.

Villa Marquez is a very nice hotel located just 5 minutes walk from the marina and the ferry to Spain. The staff is very friendly and will happily help you with everything you need. My room was spacious with sideboards for your clothes and a comfortable bed. On the top floor there is a little bar-like kitchen with a kettle and a microwave as well as fridges to store your food. There are tables to sit down both inside and outside at the terrace. I enjoyed my stay at Villa Marquez and will stay here again next time I'm in town.

    A charming little city, with a lot to discover. The quality of the local food and restaurants is very good. The beach is amazing and perfect for long walks even with an access through a huge natural park.

    Great town with many small shops.

    Great town with many small shops. Ideal place for purchasing towels and bed linens as you are spoilt for choice. We visited in December and the lights were fabulous, also the miniature Christmas Village cannot be missed and as an added bonus you can take the ferry over to Spain from here.

    The newly paved pedestrian thoroughfare was a real bonus. Attractive and very safe to walk. There are a good mix of restaurants. We were there in December and the Christmas market in the square, although not very big, was an added attraction. Vila Real de Santo António is very good for shopping. There is also a marina.

    Beautiful waterfront and marina, ideal for strolling. Lovely traditional architecture. Good main shopping street. Lots of good restaurants to suit a range of tastes and budgets. Perfectly maintained and clean streets and squares. Perhaps a generally more grown-up destination.

    Wonderful hotel, great location.

    Wonderful hotel, great location. The food market was just across the hotel, a supermarket too. Very near the city centre, lots of shops, bars and restaurants. The breakfast was so good, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, fresh fruit and delicatessen, lovely coffee. The personnel staff very friendly, bottle of water and a welcome letter was a nice gesture upon arrival.

    I like most the weather, the beachs, very beautiful city, But public transport is very poor,waiting hours for a bus or train and they stop working very early.restaurants very expensive,and portuguese food lost quality. No activities for solo travellers, just going to the beachs or shopping in streets. My favourite place was Guadiana beach, the water very clear, and warm, and a very quiet place to relaxing. In Vila real de santo antonio it is very easy to get around, and from there you can easily go to Spain, Ayamonte only 15 minutes from boat.

    Andre and Francesca at the front desk are great. They are amazing hosts and were a huge help for us. Very friendly and kind. Hotel is very clean and well taken care of. Rooms are a big in size, have air con and balcony, double bed is very spacious and comfortable, with plenty of covers and pillows. Hotel has a very clean and spacious swimming pool with an area to lay down by the pool. They also have a pool bar. I would recommend this place to anyone. ❤️
