BahrainThe hotel is absolutely beautiful. I was welcomed with some ghawa and dates. I love the traditional look that meshes in with the souq. The staff are amazing, very helpful, very kind and very friendly. They always offer to help with anything. The room was clean, spacious and just as shown on the pictures. There is a huge courtyard that was outside my room, which added some privacy on the trip. I felt like I had my own space. I like that the rooms are on ground level but also the whole place is very quiet which was blissful. I was even given a plate of some sweets and a bowl of fruit, which was appreciated. My first morning while heading for breakfast, I noticed that the restaurant opens out on to the beach as well as the hotel being part of the souq! This was the absolute highlight! Everymorning I would go and put my feet in the water! The breakfast selection at the hotel is great! There is something for everyone! Big shout out to Chef Rosemary, she makes the best cheese omelet!
Overall, an exceptional stay at Souq AL Wakra Hotel! I have recommended the hotel to friends and family! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience and excellent hospitality from all the staff.

The national museum is amazing every time esp the café Thalateen. They offer gluten free pastries, can’t say with all my travelling Doha is the best for dietary requirements

A lot of places which need to be discovered - National Museum; The Pearl monument; Place Vandom mall with dancing fountains; Villagio Mall; Katara Cultural Village; Souq Wakif; Desert Safari; City Center; North and West Qatar with some symbolic places - mangroves; East-West by Richard Serra; Camel Track, especially if you can see also a real race or practice race.

pleasant and safe , clearly a new-ish city and and so very little by way of history / quirky old bits . the skyscappers and general ambition of the place was interesting and the Museum of Islamic Art a must see - the highlight of the trip . desert trip ok but a very flat and fairly unintersting countryside . food was good and the Souq worth a wander around

I have been to Dubai many times.
I have been to Dubai many times. This was my first time in Qatar and i prefer it. Qatar is modern but retains some of its history and culture which Dubai has lost. Qatar is a lot cheaper. It is clean, easier to travel around and there seems to always be something going on (we were there for the F1 but went to u-17 football world cup final and the Arab Cup football was going on. For anyone thinking about a holiday in the middle east i would recommend it

Can recommend Doha 100 times over. Definitely between October to March. Fantastic climate. Everything is super well organized. Everybody we come in contact was super friendly and helpful. Local food is delicious and the entire city is spotless clean. Without question and this comes from a Chef that still cooks after 50 in the kitchen, the fish market that we visited was the cleanest I have ever seen. Amazing. We certainly look forward to return again in the hopefully not to distant future. Thank you Doha for being so kind and looking after us so well.

Best hotel I ever stayed in with most friendly and helpful staff. They all went above expectations to help us enjoy our first trip with a newborn baby... Facilities are amazing, with indoor swimming pools on the high floors with stunning views of Doha.
Every detail was simply perfect... It is one of the very few hotels where I went to their website to write positive reviews about their staff members who were absolutely amazing!

Everything from airport welcome & transfer to check out customer centred! Not a new hotel but still has the atmosphere of class and comfort. Local desing in rooms and lobby. Spectacular breakfast, swimming pool. The staff is genuinly motivated to show care, aknowledge your presence no matter how privilage you look.

The value for money for an overnight stay. This after Qatar Air changed the flight times and refused to give an Airport hotel Voucher even though the transit was for more than 12 hours. The apartment was spacious and had all amenities.
