Super host! The owners were very welcoming and the common area espresso machine made my day :). Farm cheese, eggs and veggies were available for purchase at the store for an impromptu but delicious early dinner. Truly grateful for the real Romanian hospitality that was shared there! The fresh air and the quiet countryside was amazing. It is close to Buzau and I highly recommend it!

This is a small hotel with self check-in. Very nice, large and super clean room. The location is quite convenient, in the center. Internet was fast and reliable. The hotel has 2,5 parking spaces. We had to move the flower to fit our car, but still the car occupied half of pavement.

Located just off the main road, the property extends behind the main building with a lovely garden and a couple of other buildings intended for events. Our suite had a balcony that overlooked the garden. I was impressed that the balcony was freshly cleaned and the outdoor furniture was dusted off. We stayed just for one night and there were no events planned in the garden, so I’m not sure if the music would be a factor. The restaurant is excellent, newly renovated with attention to detail and introducing the concept “from farm to fork” using fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

I may not be objective about this but I know hotel pietroasa since I was a little kid, over 40 years ago. My grandfather used to take me at their outside terrace where he had his coffee and for me he bought ice cream which, in those days, was served in metal cups to keep it cool. There may be fancier hotels out there but nothing beats the soul of pietroasa in buzau county. The staff here is always helpful and kind, the rooms are top notch clean and the breakfast is fabulous. Even my kids are asking me from time to time when we go back to pietroasa. So for me, when in Buzau, there is only one option. Just for example, there were cakes waiting for us on the table when we came in our rooms
