Vișeu de Sus is a very good choice for a successful vacation, because: you can walk with Mocanița(steam-powered locomotive), you can hike to the Horse Waterfall, you can visit the Bârsana Monastery or the Merry Cemetery in Săpânța. It has a nice vibe inside and seemed like quite a popular place to eat. Our room was a very decent size and the air con worked well. Breakfast buffet was okay. It is a short drive from the Mocanita train station if you were hoping to visit for the day. The hosts were very nice and friendly. They invited us to a palinca in the evening and coffee in the morning. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for breakfast because we took the 9 am train, but it smelled delicious.
