We are from USA and live in a medium size city.
We are from USA and live in a medium size city. Belgrade is much too much - no parking - everything is built on top of everything. It is not a pleasant city to get around - or easy to navigate - so going places and seeing sights was a chore - very "unfun" and stressful. We are now staying in Novi Sad - a smaller much more relaxed city and vibe. I recommend going to the Galleria, parking in the garage, and enjoying time on the waterfront. People are very friendly, helpful, town is very safe (if someone tries to tell you that Serbia is dangerous - it’s a complete lie - prefect for families). Belgrade is a fantastic city to explore, go and see it for yourself! The culinary scene is incredible with countless restaurants, bars, coffees with outdoor seating and huge varieties. The historic buildings are beautiful, plenty of museums, parks and squares to visit. The flat was very clean and convenient (don’t be put off by the look of the old building). We didn’t cook but as I noticed all the necessary kitchen utensils and cookware were in place.
