Nice and clean room with wooden walls and furniture, mosquito net, personal slippers. Very attentive and caring owners with lovely family photo gallery on the walls of the corridor and diningroom. Perfect meal is cooked by Hostess Tatyana herself, grass lawn in front of the Guest House situated ard 20 m fm water front. Swimming also available for those who not afraid cold water as well fishing too. Kizhi Museum Berth could be reached by owners boat for extra pay.
Located in quiet, picturesque area of Tipinitsy on the shores of Onezhskoye Lake, Guest House Za Onegu features a beachfront, a fully equipped shared kitchen, a sauna, and a number of outdoor... I can't emphasize enough what a lovely experience this was! Konstantin (as I'm sure everyone can tell by the reviews) is the kindest and most welcoming host! He sent someone to pick us up, answered every question we had through email, and was lovely in every way. He showed us the property (including the animals who roam around outside - like the cat we all fell in love with!) and what was around us. He knew that we were excited to see the churches on Kizhi, and took us around the village to see the churches they had (which were all beautiful). He also introduced us to his friend Valeriy (also a host) who had us over for tea. Konstantin took us on his boat to Kizhi, and we spent a lovely day on the island. An excellent, excellent experience, which we could not have loved any more. We are all Americans who speak a little Russian, and he was very accommodating and easy to understand. We will try to come back in the future – it is worth travelling across the world for!
Facing the beachfront in Velikaya Guba, Guest House Margarita features a garden and a shared lounge. The property provides karaoke and a shared kitchen. The house is really cosy and the host Margarita is a very sweet person. She made sure that we could relax and enjoy the comfort of our stay. The view from our room with the sofa was amazing! Overall - a great stay.
Guesthouse Peschanoe is located in Peschanoye. The property features lake views. The staff were great. It's a small village in the middle of nowhere, so there is only one grocery store there that closes at 6 pm. When I got there at 7:30 pm, I asked where I could find some food, so they re-opened the store for me.
Fabulous. We had wanted to go in the winter, but the timing just never worked out. The summertime did not disappoint by any means though! There were wildflowers everywhere, and by staying in the nearby Kizhi Grace Guest House, we were able to get off the boat, allow the tour groups to go off and start their tour, have a coffee, and then leisurely view the island. We hired bikes for the last half, which was a great way to see the less famous bits. When we had finished, we rang the guest house, which sent a boat to collect us. A wonderful way to spend a weekend in Karelia!
