Samara is a very nice city in middle of Russia. It has very nice weather during summer where you can have a relaxed swim in the Volga river and enjoy old town which inspired many Russian poets and artists. Also it has the modern city parts where you can enjoy nice Museums and art Centers. I also enjoyed the local beer as well.
Not well known outside Russia but an important centre for industry, science and education. Interesting history with museums and sites. Beautiful surrounding countryside. Worthy of a visit, although probably better in summer.
This is a very historic city, with important sights and things to see if you are a history interest person (Stalin bunker, the main square, the biggest in Europe, comosnaltic related). This is a very calm city, with a small town atmosphere.
I liked the city in general: its parks, architecture, old town, specially the Volga River beach. There are some places that seem to be deteriorated, but in my view this does not diminish my good impression of the town.
Beautiful city ... great people, favorite spot was around the river a place called art & fact Food is good ! Is very affordable prices are good for food and drinks ! Weather is great in June ! The sunset was amazing
We visited Samara for the football world cup so we had a specific purpose to go there. I don't think we would have gone to Samara otherwise. Samara seems to be quite spread out but the waterfront was a nice place to visit with lots of nice restaurants. Samara Arena was a beautiful venue.
Location was up to my needs. Expectations were higher though. Loved the "indoor parking", very nice and decent personnel. Unfortunately, the linen was stinky after smoking cigarettes. And the kitchen - never put anything anywhere. Every shelf was so sticky, you wouldn't be able to pick up any thing you place out there. One fork for the whole 1st floor, no cups, no spoons or knife, either. Will always prefer another hotel to this one.
I am still overwhelmed by this warm hotel service. I thank the whole team for these nice days. The service and the facilities in the hotel was the best that I personally know. Thanks again for the special help of my personal problems. I have to say honestly that the management of this hotel does a great job.I respectfully thank you for such a hospitality. Sincerely Andreas Ostermann
The interior design was quite impressive for the price range. The room (standard double) was very clean and neat. Bathroom facilities were good. The location of the hotel is excellent, it's a 5 minute walk from the Revolution square and Leningradskaya street (one of the main streets of Samara), and 15-20 minute walk from the river bank.
Almost everything was awesome. Front desk people were friendly, i had clean, warm room and cosy bed for fair price. There also was a TV in a suite and quality of translation was much better than in majority of Samara hotels. Also need to say that bathroom was big and shower cabin was one of the best among all Samara hotels.
If you are looking for a fancy hotel with spa and Mediterranean restaurant, stop reading further. Old-school Soviet hotel in the very heart of Samara, with sincerely friendly staff, top location and very quiet rooms. Spent here 3 nights, very satisfied.
Excellent small hotel with clean and spacious rooms and modern bathrooms (loved the shower!). One big plus is the absolutely beautiful café downstairs that serves the hotel's breakfast, but is also a general café with a great menu!
Nice hotel once you are inside the room, but the dirty carpets on the halls are not nice. The staff is very helpful and friendly even with their limited English.
The hotel is in the centre on the nice quiet location. Very clean and nicely designed. Receptionist were very polite and professional.
Location, cleaness, breakfast. Actually everything was really good. Holiday inn is a very good hotel in every country.
