We went with a group of 10 friends and the stay was nice. The hotel restaurant has delicious food. Also, the breakfast includes lots of options. The rooms were clean and spacious. Location is closer to lots of other restaurants. Ski resort is just a 10-minute drive. There is a nice sauna and a gym.

Borlänge isn't exactly a pretty town.

Borlänge isn't exactly a pretty town. It has lots of supermarkets, a shopping mall, and not much else for tourists. It was a great base for us to celebrate Midsummer's Eve in Leksand, about a 40-minute drive away.

Borlange itself is an industrial town, with little of note except for a beautiful tropical swimming pool and a large indoor shopping mall. However, Borlange is an excellent location as a base in central Sweden. It has good train and road connections.

Luckily Falun is not that far away.

Luckily Falun is not that far away. Accommodation was cheaper in Borlänge but it is not worth it due to the lack of cafes where you can sit and relax in the center or the lack of open restaurants in the evening during the week (a Thursday).

A very short visit.

A very short visit. Arrived late in the evening and left the following afternoon. Was there to meet friends and we visited a nice open air museum with old houses and we ate at a very good Thai restaurant.

I liked that it’s an apartment. Sometimes you have the whole apartment to yourself which makes it more comfortable than a hotel - more space to move around. Cook and do grocery shopping and additionally rent a bike making it feel like you are at home.

Far exceeded my expectations for a 3 star hotel in Borlänge, matching or exceeding 4 star options in Stockholm. Spacious room, lovely restaurant, excellent breakfast, multiple entertainment options. Will absolutely stay here again!
