Great, old-school campsite with plenty of charm in an area where accommodation options are slim. The cabin option is great, with a fridge and basic cooking facilities. Strong, hot showers...classic old pop tunes piped in through the toilet blocks...great communal area to chill...free parking...food and beer by the reception...decent lake to walk/run around....Frederick was a superb host, happy to help with our public travel Qs and warm with his conversation. The place is a little worn round the edges and by the looks of some reviewers this is their issue, but we don't care- would definitely return! 😊

The apartment was spacious and had everything we could possibly need. Useful having the small kitchen which was well stocked also. Everything was very clean. The hotel itself was also clean and spacious. Breakfast had a lot of options and there was a lot of flexibility in when we were able to access it. Tommy was a wonderful member of staff.; very friendly and accommodating and gave us some excellent recommendations for places to visit. The location is great for accessing nature, hiking, swimming and also close to the centre of the town for a few places to eat and a supermarket
