Maven is a hidden, secret paradise. You really don't know you're there until you see your parking spot. All the cabins are off gravel paths, so they have helpful wagons to aid in getting your things to the cabins. Our cabin was very modern and comfortable, with a great kitchen, bathroom, living room and deck. The hosts Anne and Stefan are very welcoming, extremely generous with their time and rightly proud of their creation. There is no way to describe the setting, with walkways leading to all the different buildings open to guests. Anne led us on a tour of the grounds, while Stefan shared some construction tips and showed off one of his new cabins opening soon. This is the kind of place that makes you want to cancel the rest of your plans and stay put. We just happened to choose Kappelshamn as a stopping point on a bike journey, and we feel very lucky to have found Maven.

This hotel is on Gotland’s north-eastern coast, in the village of Valleviken. It provides en-suite accommodations options with a flat-screen TV.

The location was amazing- quiet little harbor. A view out into the small bay - birdlife, ruins nearby. The breakfast setup was very nice, especially the omelette.

The place is absolutely beautiful and encapsulates Swedish summer so beautifully! It's close to the beach and has a pool and outdoor gym on the premises. The glamping tents are beautiful and nice to sleep in. There was a mistake with our booking but the girls in the reception were so quick and happy to compensate us for the trouble. Customer service at It's best! All of us definitely want to go back there.
