What’s not to like? HR will always be a 10. Independant hotel, family owned and customer service oriented, it’s a gem we found 2 years ago and were glad to come back. Clean, fresh, wonderful class and character. Perfect decor, wallpaper, furnishings, artwork. The 2pm cake of the day is a treat which we hovered around like hungry vultures. Victor on reception is a charming and entertaining host and we hope he’s still there next time, great sense of humour. Great home away from home, see you next time folks.

I needed to stay overnight and catch a very early train. The location couldn't be better, as being practically on top of the halls of the train station. I loved the room for two reasons, apart from the clean and modern standard: the smell, clean and sweet but not disturbing, and the art hanging from the walls. It could have been cheap prints (i didn't examine), but at least it was tasteful, unlike most hotel room art that feels like an insult. I'm very grateful for the facility (bags, cups and containers) to make my own breakfast bag as I had to leave earlier than regular breakfast times.
