The buffet breakfast, premier lounge & dining room offer the best breakfast I have experienced & tasty food selections. This is The Hotel to stay in Halmstad Sweden, conveniently located across from the bus & train stations that offer fast transit without any noise at the hotel. Buy the Bus/Train pass. Avoid Taxis as many cheat passengers.

A wonderful town, I recommend visiting the nearby town of Tylösand, where there is an amazing big beach. From Halmstad you can walk along the Prins Bertils stig path around the sea, or by bike, the ubiquitous cycle paths will delight every cyclist.

You don't have to walk around the block to go from the train...
You don't have to walk around the block to go from the train station to the hotel. There is a lift AT the station bringing you to a bridge above the railway. Once upstairs you just cross the bridge, takt the lift down and you have the hotel across the street. The hotel is also exactly in front of the bus station - to take a bus you just have to cross the road.
The city center is at about 6-7 minutes walking distance. You have a beautiful walking path on the river die thst takes you yo the beach, atound 3 km away from the city centre.
There is a big supermarket open until 9 p.m., 700 m from the hotel.
The hotel stuff is very gentle and helpful, also if you're looking for that fifferent kind of shop or bar to visit. There are lot's of quite hidden gems in the city, with such nice cafés and restaurants in quiet, little backyards. You just have to walk in and look for what's inside, whenever you see an entrance.
The pieces of art in the city centre and at the river and in the library are also very interesting, as it is the library itself.
The symbol of the city has 3 hearts. You see them all over the city and feel the heartfelt atmosphere everywhere you go.

Our upgrade was a room on the first floor facing the street and overlooking the "ruined" pool. It definitely needs renovation! Okay for one night. Booking well in advance would have cost around 800 SEK, but a last-minute booking would have only cost 585 SEK.

We didn't explore the city, but our impression is that the city and the region have a lot to offer. We mostly walked, we drove around the areas around the city a bit, mostly to get our bearings. We really enjoyed ourselves at Tyløstrand, which was also one of the reasons why Halmstad was chosen for our short holiday trip. We had mostly good food experiences, and all the "people" were nice.

A nice walk and restaurant friendly town. Follow Sven Bertil's path in close proximity to the Bohusleden. Incredibly beautiful and the proximity to swimming makes it swimming friendly ✅. Friendly people who helped with everything 😀 A town you shouldn't miss!

Loved our stay at the Elite Hotel in Halmstad — amazing vibe, beautiful interiors, and outstanding breakfast. Great mix of cafés, restaurants, co-working areas, and a well-equipped gym. Staff truly care, which makes all the difference. Stayed in both standard and superior rooms — both gorgeous, but the upgrade is worth it. We enjoyed it so much we booked an extra night. Can’t wait to return!

This was my second stay at this hotel. I stayed here for the Roxette concert in the city. Hotel is simple 3* yet very well equipped, good located and outstanding value for money. Great rich breakfast which is also available shortly even after official „end time“ and super friendly staff. Will love to return!!!

Good breakfast, nice and quiet location. Great walking paths statrs right at the hotel. It was possible also to rent a bike. You can also borrow a small bbq if you feel like having a bbq moment🤗 the beach near by is lovely!
