The town doesn't strike me as somewhere to spend a lot of...

The town doesn't strike me as somewhere to spend a lot of time. It has some interesting buildings and old streets to wander around, there are a couple of interesting museums in the centre but the reason why we go there each year is to see the sommarteater på. Karlshamns Kastell. You need to understand Swedish for this but if you do then this is highly recommended. A brilliant experience each year.

The walk along the beach promenade to Vägga harbor and Vägga...

The walk along the beach promenade to Vägga harbor and Vägga smokehouse is a must. The archipelago sailing trips to Tärnø and Kastellet and the possibility of hopping off for other trips to other islands are fantastic. A visit to Mørrum and the stream at Laxens hus is also recommended.

Fantastically beautiful and charming summer town.

Fantastically beautiful and charming summer town. Don't miss the Punch Museum and Skottsbergska Gården. Feel free to wander around the neighborhoods around the Hoppet hotel that was used by our US emigrants. The Emigrant Monument by Axel Olsson is a new must!

A very nice and cozy town with proximity to swimming and the archipelago. Beautiful old houses along cobblestone streets. We were there during the Östetsjöfestivalen when the town offered a packed program with lots of entertainment where there was something for everyone. Recommended.

The best thing was the staff.

The best thing was the staff. Overpriced hotel in my opinion. There is nothing, absolutely nothing that justifies the price for the superior room we had. Paid 1800:-/night. Small TV, no play channels. The rest is like any other hotel in Sweden.

Good location in the center of Karlshamn incl. free parking inside a gate. Checkin via phone / or in person depending the time of the day. Building, rooms and parking lot easy accessible via pin codes. Kitchen equipped with all the needed tools. Washing machine either in room or a shared one available. If needed, free pass for the gym next door. Bigger supermarket 2 minutes away by foot and some more different restaurants around.

Fantastic small and unassuming looking hotel. Very cosy and warm (we were in the apartment with terrace), awesome, friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Service is too-notch. Great wi-fi throughout. Breakfast was brilliant as was the complimentary salad bar in the PM. Tea and coffee bar 24 hours was perfect. Great location to town. Nice and quiet at night too. In short, a hotel done right.

Nice hotel. Breakfast was really great. At first I didn’t think there were many options to choose from, however there was ample choice and the only place on our European holiday that had salmon offered for breakfast. It was really lovely to have. Mini bar in room had a lot of choice too.
