The bathroom was very nice and the king size bed was very comfortable. The room was oriented to the yard, thus very quiet. But even if the room is faced to the street, the traffic is low and rooms are quiet. The internet was working without any problems. The staff in the hotel is extremely friendly and prone to help. The breakfast was outstanding - for me one of the best ones I have ever had in a hotel! In the offer there is cold and warm buffet, wonderful selection of muesli and corn flakes with various nuts, amazing! Cheeses and fresh vegetables were outstanding quality :-) Both filter and espresso coffee, loose leave tee. At the end fabulous selection of cakes, therefore when planning to stay in Ruth hotel, don't forget to book the breakfast!

Wonderful hotel, very kids friendly. Good breakfast and dinner options. Located in a cool area with everything around (playground in front of the hotel, restaurants, shopping mall near by). Transportation to and from the city center is done easily, there is a bus station at a 5 minutes distance by foot.

Beautiful cozy clean bright room, the hotel is very well situated, right in the city center, 8 mins walk from metro and 15 mins from Cental Station. There’s a great brunch spot Gast around the corner, was waking up late and skipped the hotel breakfasts :) The receptionists are very welcoming. I liked everything about this hotel

Lydmar Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel where you can see different interior styles in the rooms and corridors each and every floor. The most sightseeing attractions are walkable distance, and you can reach to Djurgården in 20~30 minutes by taking a bus or tram. We upgraded our room to Medium King Room because we needed a bigger wardrobe. The room was clean & well-designed, and the bathroom was big enough. The bed and pillows were very comfy and warm even though it was below -10 sometimes during our stay. We'd love to give our special thanks to all the staff at the reception and the restaurant for their warm hospitality and kind help. "All of you made our trip much more delightful. Thank you!!"

FAQs about hotels in Stockholm

A Natural Beauty

Modern Stockholm is uniquely made up of 30% waterways and another 30% of parks and green spaces. It’s spread across 14 islands and is both one of the world’s cleanest and most charming capitals.

Stockholm’s famously huge number of museums includes the Naturhistoriska riksmuseet, the Moderna Museet and the Spritmuseum. City Hall hosts the famous Nobel Prize banquet and the Vasamuseet hosts the 300 year old Vasa warship.

The city’s past can be felt in Gamla Stan – Stockholm’s stunning Old Town with medieval layout, cobblestone streets and the Baroque-style Royal Palace. Designer Swedish clothes and interior decorations abound in the many unique stores throughout the city.

For a day away, ferries reveal the stunning Stockholm archipelago, a group of thousands of islands and rocks where you can enjoy hiking, outdoor swimming and fishing.

Whether you fly to Arlanda, Bromma, Skavsta or Västerås Airports, the city center can be reached by either train or airport coach. Booking.com offers a wide choice of accommodations for your Stockholm holiday, from modern hotels, to unique motels and affordable hostels.

We spent 3 nights at The Reisen hotel in Gamla Stan in early September. Fortunately the weather was good, which makes a huge difference. I would not recommend visiting in the Winter or during bad weather. The city is effectively cash-less; you can pay for virtually everything with a credit card. Quite a lot is accessible by walking, low cost ferries or efficient public transport. The highlight, other than the wonderful people, was the Vasa museum containing the restored wreck. I don't recommend the Skansen unless you have kids.

It's an incredibly beautiful and clean city with so much to offer. Whether you're into history, design, nature, or food, there’s something here for everyone. The mix of modern and old architecture, the scenic waterfronts, and the calm atmosphere make it a truly unique destination.

    What a gorgeous city!

What a gorgeous city! Lovely to just wander around, a boat cruise of the Stockholm Archipelago was relaxing and interesting, the Royal Palace was stunning, and the Viking Museum was fun! Great public transport system that is ridiculously cheap, and the food is good! Try eating at Ostermalms Food Hall for lots of choice at good prices. The service staff everywhere spoke perfect English and were all super friendly and helpful. Really worth a visit!

Stockholm was a one-off city for me to visit.

Stockholm was a one-off city for me to visit. I knew of the Viking history and ABBA being a prime artist for that city. But I didn't know it had so much to offer in the way of travel and exploration. Stockholm has so much to show off, from its gelato, amazing leather shoe shops, best Swedish dishes, to it Viking history. I recommend doing a ghost tour with Reece through the get your guide app, then take a walk-through time in the Viking Museum. I HIGHLY recommend wandering through the Vasa Museum, you will not be disappointed. If you love Scandinavian architecture, food and culture, Stockholm is a great city to wander through and experience it.

Fantastic city, with lots of cultural and historical sites. Great for walking or biking. Didn't have the need for public transportation but I assume it is also functioning very well. Stockholm has it all - museums, restaurants, bars, parks, or benches near the sea if you want to chill outdoors. Just be careful because it is quite expensive.
