The property is fantastic in terms of the building and the setting. The staff, though, was completely unqualified. We checked in and neither person had a single recommendation for things to do in the area. Wait staff was also unqualified. It was clearly a beautiful physical property, but poorly managed.

This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.

My son and I stayed here for two nights and it was a very nice experience. We took the bus to the bus stop down the hill and we had to walk up some steps to get to the building and it was just fine. The room was adorable and in a great location. We loved having a kitchen to cook hotdogs and the grocery stores were in walking distance. It was a quaint and relaxing stay.

Top resort, small enough for a relaxing holiday.

Top resort, small enough for a relaxing holiday. The restaurant Toro was good. Nice sea bath that didn't cost anything and Hotell Krabban a central place to stay. The only small minus was that we had to use a taxi to the FLIX bus to Oslo.

Cozy city, unfortunately didn't have enough time. Was lucky with the weather, got a bit of a southern feeling. Was unlucky with the first accommodation, but was happy with the second place. Will probably come back maybe next year.

The harbor, nice to walk around the area. Should have had much longer. Didn't make the boat to Koster. Strømstad has charm. Had lunch and dinner at the hotel (Laholmen) can be recommended 👍. We had lunch at Skagerak, also very good.

The apartment was modern, clean and stylish. Very practical and everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The service was good and the surrounding nature was beautiful. There are short distances to both nature and shops, and the apartment has everything you need to cook.

Cozy little coastal town that has a lot of history to offer.

Cozy little coastal town that has a lot of history to offer. Nice little cafes, pubs and many nice shops. Is a place where you feel comfortable. We ate at a restaurant by the pier where they sell seafood. Very good fish soup there. Take the ferry out to Koster to rent a bike. Then you can cycle around the island, swim and enjoy yourself.

We got the house we booked, but the landlord was nice to update us to another unexpected nice house to stay. House was clean and nice. Everything was new fresh and the view was very beautiful. We will definitely come back to the area.

The Guest Haush Ånneröd was the perfect place for our three day stay in Strömstad during our winter/spring roadtrip down the Swedish west coast. The house may look small, but intelligently designed it offered all we needed and was perfectly clean (and warm :)) upon our arrival. What definitely surpassed our expectations were the excursion tips from our host Stefan. We can only recommend to meet him during your stay, he knows best where to go and what to do around Strömstad :)

In an unbelievably peaceful environment, the apartment offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved the convenience of the flat and its location, just a short drive to Strömstad and with a beautiful sandy beach down the road. To top it off, our hostess was welcoming snd uncomplicated. I can recommend her apartment 100% and would love to come again for a longer stay.

The building and its decor. It was quiet. The bed was comfortable. Although we didn’t use the kitchen it was well equipped and a good facility. Parking was available immediately outside the property. Stromstad is attractive and the ferry port for the Koster Islands - try to go!

Great location about 5km outside Stromstad with a lovely swimming beach. Little terrace to enjoy the sunshine and dishwasher was a bonus. Cottages a little small for 4 adults but were able to make do as we had great weather and were able to eat on the terrace.
