Enjoying a panoramic position over Portorož, Villa Bellevue is just 200 metres from a sandy beach. The villa houses an indoor swimming pool and 2 saunas are available all the time-all year.

The room was very nice, with a view from two sides over the ocean. Also the facilities like sauna and a pool were great and included in the price of the room. Breakfast was also very rich. All in all, a great stay for autumn getaway.

Slovenia’s Adriatic Spa Resort

Portorož is the most popular beach resort on Slovenia’s small but undulating coastline. It was first developed as a health resort and several spas remain. The largest is the Terme & Wellness LifeClass Portorož, offering treatments using local products such as salt pan mud, seawater and thermal mineral water.

The huge complex is surrounded by some of the 4 and 5-star hotels available on Booking.com. Nearby is the Hotel Kempinski Palace, a historic property built in 1910 as a retreat for Austro-Hungarian officials. Other Portorož accommodation options include guest houses with pools and beachfront apartments.

The beaches are of course why most people come. The main, sandy beach is awash with colourful parasols in summer, while offshore watersports include diving and water skiing. Boat trips from the marina sail along the coast and even to Venice and Trieste in Italy.

As the temperature cools down, the nightlife heats up as people start hitting the bars and clubs. Several casinos also provide another way to spend some time…and money, and there are also relaxed restaurants where you can enjoy the sunset.

Portorož Airport is just south of the city and in the opposite direction is Piran whose Venetian old town spread over a promontory provides a more cultural offering.

    Easily accessible, comfort, enough shopping facilities, bars, restaurants of every kind, stroll space, panoramic views, marina very close, nature, ... Really a cute place to stay for a week. I recommend every traveller to visit it at least once in your life.

    Really great and peacefull in May.

    Really great and peacefull in May. People are great, service everywhere was great, food was delicious, drinks great. Prices were okay, expected for a place near the sea and with terme/wellness offer. It really near other interesting places, like Piran, Izola, Trieste...I recommend visiting by car or renting one and touring around.

    Very nice swimming pools with sea and termal water. Our food was delicious, especially sea food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms we stayed in were very neat and tidy. Although there were not enough parking spaces, the staff tried very hard to provide us with payable parking.

    Piran and Portoroz - two very nice places are actually connected to each other... restaurant, walking paths, cyklo paths...everything nice and clean. Beaches are small and sea was nice and clean... we were there out of season (end Sept) and will definitely come next year out of high season again!

    Very nice and modern flat, with hotel like equipment (premium shower gels, slippers, jam and Nutella portions), very helpful and friendly hosts (provided not only free map but also rechargeable card for bus commuting and offered their small pool to use for our child). Own garden with deck chair and small toys for children. Nearest beach is within 20 minutes’ walk, but local bus stops within 5 minutes and this can take you to Portoroz centre or to Piran.

    Nice big hotel directly at the sea side with private beach equiped with sunbeds&umbrellas. Basically just few steps out from the hotel doors. Promenade from Portoroz to Pirane directly crossing the hotel, so you can just decide to turn to left or right and then walk and walk😉 Staff is kind, food is dellicious served at spacy and elegant restaurant .

    I LIKED OUR ROOM, IT WAS EXTREMELY SPACIOUS. THE BELL BOY WAS QUITE RUDE TO US. WE ASKED ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF AN EXTENSION AND GOT NO ANSWER SO WE HAVE LEFT AS PLANNED. FOOD QUALITY AND CHOICE WAS POOR FOR A 5 STAR HOTEL. STAFF IN THE RESTAURANT AND THE CLEANING PERSONNEL ARE TOP.

    The location is perfect - in the middle between Portoroz and Piran - 10 minutes walk to Portoroz and 20 minutes walk to Piran. There is a nice small strip of bars, restaurants, kiosks, shops at the location itself. Breakfast is excellent, provided at the newer hotel nearby.
