AustraliaWe were warmly welcomed with a glass of champagne, setting the tone for a wonderfully relaxing visit. The staff was super friendly, genuinely welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of the old town, just a minute’s walk to the sea and close to everything, yet tucked away enough in a quiet street to feel peaceful. Our room was modern, stylish, and spotless with a very comfy bed. Breakfast is great and has a lot of variety, and you can also ask for eggs prepared different ways and/or pancakes. One of the biggest highlights for us was the hotel's restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic (the picanha steak was excellent), the wine list is great, with a wide variety of local and international options. It’s well worth dining in, even if you’re not staying at the hotel.

The nice saltpans with a small museum in the middle, both sides of the bay, have hotels for budget guests or one that required a little higher standards. There are many marked paths to hike around or just plain walk. Strunjan bay is not a village but it lies between Izola and Piran. At the beginning of the bay, there is a bus station and mini market and at the end, there are many restaurants and a beach with some trees and grass to give shadow and a place to rest. The hotel is located right next to Moon Bay and nice walking paths in Strunjan’s Nature Park or direction Piran, so you can take advantage of the free parking of the hotel and explore by foot. The place has lots of charm and is close from the nature. I really enjoyed this quiet bubble while the whole area along the coast can be a quite busy touristic area. The staff was lovely and helpful. Nice outdoor pool next to a stoney beach. A lot of green space beneath the trees. The apartment was clean, equipped with all necessary kitchen things (fridge, microwave oven, dishes, pots etc.) Towels were changed every 2 days.
