A beautiful quaint town on the Soca Vaey. Loads of swimming spots along the river, and a place to rent kayaks, sups etc at the dam. I recommend travveling along the river, up to Gabrje and further for more beautiful river locations. We stayed just outside of town, which I recommend if you have your own transport. Tolmin is heaven on earth.
Tolmin is heaven on earth. Especially in the festival season in the town. The rivers Tolminka and Soca meet, and it's the perfect cooling down in the hot hot heat (it was 32 degrees Celsius). The surrounding area is Slovene Alps at its best with countless activities from biking, paragliding, mountain climbing and canyoning.
