The location stands out. You can visit Most na Soči and Tolmin nearby or take the train to Bled. The lovely hosts, Roger and Louise, can fill you in with lots of information on many other things you can do. The deck has an amazing view, you can just grab your drink after a long day and relax while watching the sunset. There is an option to get a nice breakfast. Louise is a very talented cook so I definitely recommend opting in for dinner as well. Overall, this place offers great value for its price. If you wish to explore the region and looking for a place to stay, this place is the top choice.

The Tolmin Gorge is an absolute must do. We also climbed the hill up to the Kozlov Rob castle, but a portion of the castle was blocked off, which was a disappointment. A much better use of our time would have been to drive up sooner to Kolovrat Museum of the First World War; which isn't a museum, but a fascinating preservation of WW 1 bunkers and some of the most spectacular views of mountains and sea you will experience while in Slovenia. It got dark before we could fully explore the trails, tenches and bunkers.

A beautiful quaint town on the Soca Vaey.

A beautiful quaint town on the Soca Vaey. Loads of swimming spots along the river, and a place to rent kayaks, sups etc at the dam. I recommend travveling along the river, up to Gabrje and further for more beautiful river locations. We stayed just outside of town, which I recommend if you have your own transport. I didn't do anything in the town itself as its great just to relax along the river on a sunny day, or go kayaking on the river.

The Gorge is very beautiful and there are many hiking and walking trail around. The museum of Tolmin is really interesting. I'd recommend going there with nice weather, there is little to be done when it is raining.

Tomlinson was a great stop on our hiking adventure.

Tomlinson was a great stop on our hiking adventure. The gorge and castle ruins were good to see and with it being a bigger town then we had been in on our travels we were able to restock our hiking supplies.

Great base for getting out to other hiking areas waterfalls and canyons. The Town centre is dated and quite dirty. Only a few restaurants all with the same items on the menu, but all good quality and very low prices.

Tolmin is heaven on earth.

Tolmin is heaven on earth. Especially in the festival season in the town. The rivers Tolminka and Soca meet, and it's the perfect cooling down in the hot hot heat (it was 32 degrees Celsius). The surrounding area is Slovene Alps at its best with countless activities from biking, paragliding, mountain climbing and canyoning. It has one of the best festivals in Slovenia every summer, and it's a must visit.

We had a large and and comfortable bedroom with shared bathroom and kitchen. Everything was clean, nice vibes, the host was super friendly and helpful. Good views from the balcony. Nice & quiet location, at the edge of a small village 5min out of Tolmin, right next to a large meadow - very good when you have a car, a bit complicated when you need to rely on the public bus.

This apartment is lovely decorated and had everything we needed. If you enjoy cooking there are also some spices, oil, vinegar, sugar, also coffee and tea. We even got a welcome gift at the arrival, and our kid had some toys to play with during our stay. This was our fifth time visiting Tolmin and in our experience it is the best apartment in that area so far.

Very nice hosts, Damjan and his son were nice and welcoming. The apartman is very nice, comfortable, well equipped. They even let us some fruits, bread, milk, etc. prepaired, which was really nice. You have a beautiful view from the apartman and the garden. It is a perfect place to relax in the mountains, do some trails, or visit Tolminska gorge.
