Located on a hillside in Kluknava, Kaštieľ Biela Dáma a Čierny Rytier is located in a historic castle from the 17th century. What’s not to love it is an amazing castle with Danielle as a lovely host to the whole experience. She welcomed us warmly and showed us to our room. Right from the start she made out little family so welcome. My 10 year old daughter was ecstatic to be staying in a castle and Danielle let her try on a dress and use the fans and hats. We had a very happy girl indeed. Our dog was also warmly welcomed. We had been travelling for a few hours and Danielle let us get settled and then we went into the dining room to order our dinner. The food was delicious and the recommendations for the local wine were exceptional. I really enjoyed chatting to Danielle and hearing about her story of the castle and how it came to be. A real triumph! The room was big and spacious with a good sized bathroom and lovely views out to the grounds. The castle is situated in a village and is close to a couple of shops and bars and a children’s play area and there is a river and lots of walks nearby. Wonderful stay and one that will remain in mine and my daughters hearts forever.
