Many families visiting San Marino loved staying at Titano Suites, Hotel Rosa, and La Grotta Hotel.
Titano Suites, Hotel La Rocca, and Hotel Bellavista got great room view-related reviews from travelers in San Marino.
The history is amazing. It has the best features of other medieval towns but has the added bonus of being an independent country since the 4th century. This makes it unique among any place we've ever visited.
San Marino is a great place to take your spouse to. The calmness and quietness there mixed with the hot weather is just so great. Also it's really cheap to shop there and San Marino's lasagne is something you have to taste! but with transportation, you really have to drive to get between places.
San Marino is considered a tourist trap. The reasons are easy to see when you climb to the fortress towers. The route is bordered by tourist stalls. For us, however, San Marino became the highlight of our vacation because: 1. In the early spring, most of the tourist stalls were closed. 2. In the evening, when the tourist restaurants were already closing their doors, we found by following other people a restaurant favored by the locals. 3. The views from the Titano mountain are spectacular. We climbed there both in the evening and in the next morning.
San Marino was intriguing and stunning. The cable car ride to the top of Mount Titano was amazing, as was everything at the top. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. It felt like we had stepped back in time. Navigation was fairly easy, but the steep inclines/declines of many roads made me wonder how anyone with a small European car makes it around. Looking around for one day was just the right amount of time. Staying overnight, though, allowed us to enjoy more local cuisine (Lyuke Bakery for breakfast and L'Angela Veste Piada for cossone...both had great food and even better service) and gave us time to slip into Rimini to enjoy the coast the next day.
We came for one night on the way between Venice and Florence. Maybe not a good time to visit San Marino between Christmas and new year eve. It was cold' foggy and only few shops and restaurants were open.
It is one of the best keep secrets inside Italy. I really enjoy the history of this place. People are fantastic and a lot of things to see (you will need to search for them). Please do not skip the museum that explains a lot about them.
San Marino
Due to the covid-19 situation there was pre-prepared breakfast, but our host was so kind and we had everything that we need. Fabrizio offered us his upgraded luxurious apartment which had almost the same panorama, before that I can’t even imagine that beautiful landscape. It was the most breathtaking stay in our life. Beautiful house in the heart of San Marino, kind, well prepared and helpful Host. Hope that we will go back one day in the same apartment and visit San Marino, meet with Fabrizio!
Good location, you're quickly in the center of San Marino (City). Parking is free, there is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel, the breakfast is really good. The rooms (at least the one we had) need a little make-over, especially the bathroom. Amazing view until Rimini and the sea. If we ever come back to San Marino, it'll be at this place. Bonus: go for a walk at night, just 2min away you will have the best view at night at the three towers.
San Marino
GFantastic place. Lovely little square on the mountain. 15 mins drive to the centre/castle. At night lovely little bar beside to enjoy the silence of the mountain. Highly recommend a glass of wine outside. Hotel is situated in tiny village. Be aware it's not central San Marino but is about 15 mins away by car. We actually loved the small village. Double sinks. Gorgeous bathroom and Jacuzzi bath were great.
San Marino on the top! Nice small hotel in the upper part of San Marino town. Room with marvellous view over the landscape surrounding the small state. Friendly staff, especially the landlady. Don't miss the dinner, it's great! In general, a very remarkable place to stay.
I like borders, so I wanted to stay in a hotel a couple of minutes walking from the border of Italy with a ministate. There are some nice restarants close by and a couple of supermarkets a few minutes walking. There are frequent buses from Dogana to Rimini and San Marino City
What we liked most was fantastic view from the hotel room. The room itself was spacious and clean. Internet connection was strong and breakfast was good and tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel to all people who plan to visit San Marino.
We had two rooms one a triple room the other a superior double. The triple was lovely and the bathroom was big. The staff were really helpful. They gave good advice about eating and seeing the city. San Marino is lovely and the hotel is in the middle of the city.
the location of the hotel was great and you can have walk around the hotel with a beautiful sight of San marino! And it is also a great place to see the sunrise at the morning. The coffee of the breakfast was soooo great! :)
A lovely view of San Marino from the balcony. Grateful to be able to leave our luggage after check out. A pleasant lady checked us in. It's on the bus route from Rimini. The bus runs hourly during the day
Extremely central, clean and comfortable. Within the walls of San Marino and parking at P6 was just down the road. A bonus was the Hotel restaurant as food was really good.
Placed right in the center of San Marino the hotel offers a relaxing stay after a long day of walking around. Also the staff warmly informs of the local sights.
