We were pleasantly surprised to discover this place. It's now low season and the price you offered was very attractive. On top of it booking.com gave us an upgrade so we had a spa suite room. The room was huge including a soaking tub. The staff were warm helpful and professional. We were impressed with the welcoming staff who greeted us. One of the girls who greeted us is named Fern. The hotel facilities were clean, especially the pool. I enjoyed their choice of mineral water as chlorine is not environmentally friendly.The hotel tries to be eco friendly...no individual shampoo, glass vs. water bottles, etc. They also have a nice rooftop lounge area restaurant where you can just see a beautiful sunset against the mountains or rock formations that Krabi is famous for The morning breakfast buffet was fantastic, it's the most variety I've ever eaten and many healthy choices as well. They have a flower and vegetable garden that that they have used in their cooking but because of the very hot temperatures this year I think they weren't able to harvest as much on site. We'd love to return one day.

Stayed wonderful 6 nights there. Owner and family were really warm people and helpful in sharing information with us. amazingly clean place and our rooms were cleaned daily, bottled water replenished, towels replaced every two days as well. Love that this place is away from the main road and with a nice balcony as well. Walking distance to several muay thai gyms such as over the top and emerald. Amazing value for money lodging!!

The Residence was perfect, the Staff so nice and helpfull. The room was cleaned daily, pool was clean and refreshing. What I liked the most was location. Super nice property will lovely hosts and employees. The rooms were super nice with extra well equipped kitchen and balcony. The pool just out of the window was the best. Good breakfast. A lot of support from the hosts regarding transportation and any kinds of questions.

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the...

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the islands do not recommend you go this time of the year. As three single travellers there were very few bars, lots of restaurants that sold alcohol but no bars you could sit at and have a chat only found four and three of those were a good 30min walk from the centre. Ao Nang seems to have changed a lot over the years and has lost a lot of it's character as it is now catering more for families, which is not a all bad if that is what you are looking for but comparing it with Hua Hin, or Koh Samui, it just doesn't.

    All restaurants and activities were near by or a short ride with a scooter. KoDam restaurant serves great Thai dishes and the same restaurant by the sea has a great view with the same prices as the one in Ao Nang.

    The strip of sand is overlooked by a busy road and shops. Very little shelter from the sun and on-shore winds whip up waves and churn the water to a very unappealing colour. Plenty of bars and places to eat locally - but very few truly "Thai" owned/run. LOTS of Indian restaurants! Ao Nang beach is a beach from which you depart to visit much nicer places!!

    There were many sightseeing opportunities I was unable to...

    There were many sightseeing opportunities I was unable to access due to my Muay Thai training event. If I return, I will pursue these options. The beach was near countless stores and restaurants. There are plenty of people to meet and things to do. I would revisit if given a second chance.

    It's a perfect outing for holidays, honeymoon or for what ever reasons. Can choose from high end hotels, or budget one. People around are friendly and helpful. Foods hunting are heaven, cheap seafood at night market any restaurants. Don't miss jumpa to island executions that you won't regards it

    The actual beach was not great for swimming.

    The actual beach was not great for swimming. At high tide there was very little sand to walk on and the beach was not flat. Water was not very clear, possibly due to grey skies or longboat activity. So Nang has many hotels and resorts either great pools as an alternative. Ao Nang is a great place to visit the Islands, Emerald Lake, hot springs or go kayaking in the mangroves. It is easy to get tuk tuks, taxis and grab cars and bikes all along the beachfront. There was a great selection of Thai, Italian, Indian and Mexican restaurants and lots of bars with extended happy hours. Make sure you have lots of mozzie spray, especially if you go over to Railay beach and walk over to Diamond Cave. We’d recommend paying for a hotel with buffet breakfast if travelling with teenagers as the food is great and tends to set you up an early dinner time. If you have children I’d recommend Ananta Burin hotel as it has several pools, one with a water slide and pool bar so the young ones and adults are easily entertained.

    Firstly the staff were all SO lovely and helpful. Everywhere was so clean. The room was immaculate ..the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. The pillows were the absolute best .. ♥️ the pool area lovely and clean. Location was great everything you need on doorstep but also quiet, just a short walk to beach. I extended my stay here and will stay on my return to Krabi. Would highly recommend ☺️

    We stayed in the deluxe pool view room which the kind receptionist upgraded for free and the view is heavenly from there. Also, the hotel has its own private access to beach which is very convenient. Location of hotel is great very central to all restaurants and services in Krabi. The hotel has potential to be 5 star with bit more better and efficient management and overall upgrade of its facilities and services.

    Location was decent enough. Beach opposite the hotel wasn't good enough to swim though, boats pulling up etc. Room size was good. Breakfast was good. Krabi overall probably my least favourite place in Thailand, first time going there and definitely the last. Limited shopping, beaches not good, pretty much nothing to do there.
