Great location, friendly and always available staff, cleanliness in the room and everywhere in the hotel, availability of necessary things in the room, even a bottle opener! A beautiful inner area with a swimming pool, showers and changing cabins, a barbecue by the pool, pleasant music in the lobby area by evening, billiards and ping pong. Possibility to rent an umbrella. Good breakfast and menu of the bar and restaurant. I spent an absolutely happy and comfortable week at the hotel. Small imperfections can be accommodated by wearing earplugs at night. In all other respects, the hotel fully met my expectations. The staff was always helpful and wishes were quickly fulfilled. Beautiful view from the balcony, cozy lobby to relax in evening listening the rain. Close proximity to the beach, close to many cafes, shops, pharmacies, massage parlors.

Kata Beach itself was fine. Unfortunately when we were there it was rough. We watched people get carried out and rescued by other tourists as the lifeguards seemed incapable. They went out to one person in trouble and told them to swim back even though clearly in trouble. Another tourist swam out and saved them.

Kata beach is a good beach.
Kata beach is a good beach. It's very big and the beach and water were clean. A lot of people congregate at one end, but if you walk further along the beach, you can find a quieter spot. The sea was very rough during my stay, so I was unable to swim as much as I would have liked. There are lifeguards on duty, and they were very vigilant, and blowing their whistles to call people back to the shore

Nice, fairly quiet beachside town. Mostly just a main strip that’s set away from the beach, you can’t see the beach from the main road though. Bar street was a bit quiet when we were there, but that’s to be expected in low season, plenty of restaurants catering to all tastes. Think Kata Beach was the best town out of the three on the coast, quiet with a few bars and restaurants, Karon seemed to have less selection of things to do, but is easily walking distance of Kata. Patong seemed like a mini, more touristy Bangkok/city type place with lots and lots of boarded up shops etc. Overall I think Kata was the best compromise between bars, restaurants, massage places, beach, but still laid back and quiet enough to not be like a bigger version of Khaosan.

FANTASTIC quiet-ish area. You MUST eat at Robu, and Palm Square has music from 730 and great food. Sugar and Spice also great quality. 800B to/from airport in taxi, 400B to Patong in tuktuk seats up to 6, 100B each to airport on blue a/c bus 1.5hr, or to Patong Beach, 40B each to Karon Beach and Phuket Town on blue trolley. Safe area, good $ exchange and decent massage places. 2 Gyms nearby, Don's and SK-11, look at both before you pay. Night Markets are full of all that you could need clothing, bags, souvenirs. Be careful eating the street-street food - if you don't see the seafood cooked in front of you be warned. Please don't support the abuse of elephants by riding them, support the sanctuaries and interact with them by feeding and mud-bathing them instead. Also hiked the Big Buddha from here, definitely not for the faint hearted, but a true achievement.

Beautiful area, nice food, nice people… I was there for a whole month… toured the Island by car. The roads are hazardous… you need to be alert at all times. If riding a bike or driving…no one stops at crossings for pedestrians… no parking at main areas unless your on a motorcycle…easy to get around, cheap taxis if you don’t have a car…. We saw the whole beautiful island … would not have been the same without transport NO ENTERTAINMENT… only a couple of bars have local singers… NO ENTERTAINMENT was an issue… most places shut for 11 pm

The beach and the options for food and entertainment was exceptional. A quiet, family friendly part of Phuket, a lot quieter than Patong. Easy to get anywhere with Tuk Tuks everywhere and all the locals were very friendly.

I gave my 8-year-old daughter the option of moving to the Centara Grand as they had water slides but she actually said that she didn’t want to leave because she loved the staff here so much. We can’t thank you enough for making our stay in Phuket so lovely. And of course, Pam the hotel manager greeted us on the first day and each time we saw her with warmth, which was also lovely.
