Love the room we stayed (Seaview Double Pool Villa) with the access of villa pool. Just spent whole day by the pool and the beach.. such a relaxation. The breakfast buffet was excellent!! Lots of choices and they were all yummy. Will definitely come back!!

Very quiet and small! Staff was incredibly nice and they also have motorbikes on site for rent! 150 baht/day for the motor bikes (~$4.50USD/day). Great location, within 5-10 minute motorbike ride to “main drag” of town or the beach!

Updated and clean rooms. Good breakfast and refreshing pool. The beds were comfortable and the location is perfect. Down the street from the main road. Lots of food, shopping and music around the corner. Very helpful staff. My mother forgot her purse in the can to the ferry and the owner was able to contact the driver and get her bag back to us in time. tastefully decorated.

**Review: JW Marriott Khao Lak** Wow! Just wow! The JW Marriott Khao Lak is truly an exceptional hotel. Located an hour and a half from the airport, this hotel leaves a lasting impression from the moment you arrive. ### Arrival and First Impressions We were warmly welcomed with a delightful hibiscus drink and given a comprehensive tour of the hotel. They provided us with a schedule of activities, 90% of which were free for all guests. The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful, and I can't emphasize enough how amazing it was. ### Pools and Amenities The pools are enormous – there are around five or more, including the largest river pool in Asia that winds around the entire hotel. There are dedicated areas for kids, with two big pools featuring various games, while the rest are for adults. The amenities are top-notch, and the staff is exceptionally helpful, kind, and down to earth. ### Room Quality Our room was exceptional. We had two rooms with a living area and buggy service. The suite option is highly recommended over the smaller rooms, as it offers a significantly more pleasant experience. ### Dining The breakfast area is extensive, offering every option you could think of, including live cooking stations. We opted for the all-inclusive package, which included one lunch option per person and a three-course dinner per person. The portions were generous and perfect for our group of five. The hotel's restaurants are diverse and delicious, featuring Italian, Thai, Japanese, and international cuisine, as well as grills and pizza options near the pool. All the restaurants were top-notch, and we enjoyed every meal. ### Activities and Entertainment The hotel offers a vast array of activities from 8 am to 8 pm. The fire show on the beach at night was a highlight. We also participated in a bath bomb workshop at the spa, which was very enjoyable.

It’s a small family-run B&B located just off the main road. The beach, the market, dive shops, and cafes/restaurants are all in walking distance (7-eleven literally across the main road.) The location itself is super quiet and the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Cleanest place and most heart-warming service I’ve experienced in Thailand. The husband-wife team will make you fresh eggs to order for breakfast and drive you to and from airport themselves.

Really recommend staying at Casacool Hotel. The hotel manager Kai goes above and beyond for her guests. The hotel is well located close to lots of bars and restaurants and the nightmarket and is only a 10mins walk to the closest beach. The rooms are basic but functional however a bit dark due to the windows being tinted. There is a fridge with free water and a safe inside the room with well functioning AC. Free laundry is offered at Casacool as well as a hearty breakfast (eggs, bread, pastries, cornflakes, hot drinks, fresh fruit…). This was the best breakfast we’ve had since arriving in Thailand. The owner even drove us to a nearby beach unprompted and organised onwards travel to Koh Lanta. For the price we paid, this stay has been an absolute steal. Thank you so much Casacool!

    Not as busy as Phuket, less people but lots of restaurants with reasonable prices. Very family orientated, no night clubs & pole dancing girly bars. Khao Lak is what Phuket was 30 years ago but is becoming more popular.

    If you want to hang around with far to many unwanted, Khao Lak is the place to go. It certainly focusing on tourists with bad taste from a special part of the world. There are a lot of nice places nearby if you just stay clear of central Khao Lak. The unwanted are sadly still to many.

    We have been to khao Lak 7 times now because we love it...

    We have been to khao Lak 7 times now because we love it so much. We have eaten in many different places , but the Orchid is our favourite restaurant. All of the eateries were very reasonably priced. Khao Lak is a very walkable resort and safer now there are two pedestrian crossings. We are older and some pavements have quite high steps down and up, but there are usually little ramps for less abled or children's buggies. There are plenty of mini marts to buy supplies and several pharmacies to get advice or medications if needed. Also plenty of little craft / souvenir shops. There are plenty of bank machines and several money exchange kiosks. Khao Lak is basically one very long main street with shops etc on both sides of the street. It is not a late night resort, the whole. Most restaurants are closed by 10p.m.

    Lovely quite town, away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket. No traffic. Beautiful beaches. a large selection of restaurants. Plenty of local taxis to take you around. Very friendly local community. A totally different more chilled vibe than Phuket.

    Bas and his team were just super super friendly. They gave you a great feeling right from the start upon arrival until departure. Bas even gave us a great transfer to our next Hotel in Khao Lak and showed us the temple nearby. The Hotel is also very nice. Nights are quiet, during the day you can chill at the pool. Everything is super clean. The rooms are comfortable and large. We would come here again!

    The family that runs this hotel is really nice. The room is big enough to be comfortable for more than a short stay. Everything was clean. Location is central to the main road in Khao Lak, although a bit further to get to some of the beaches. This is a place to stay if you want a peaceful place to recharge on your Thailand travels.
