Beautifully placed in the Northern part of Thailand, The Wes Village offers cosy accommodation in the country side village of Chiangdao. Chiang Mai is just an hour drive away. Awesome stay! Clean spaces, comfortable bed and spacious cabins. Delicious breakfast and fantastic swimming pool & outside area. The views are amazing and the contact with the nature was very special. The owner took good care of us, recommending the best places to eat with the locals and making sure that we enjoyed the nature and everything Chiang Dao has to offer. She made our time unforgettable and we will always be thankful!!

Located in Chiang Dao, Chiang Dao Reset provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy free bikes, a garden and a shared lounge. We had such a wonderful stay. Lovely large cabin, modern and clean. Huge bathroom and hot shower. There is also a veranda which we enjoyed relaxing on. This property is set in a beautiful garden, you'll enjoy the home grown veggies for breakfast (which was varied and delicious.. And the coffee was excellent). But what really made our stay was the couple who run Chiang Dao Reset, they made us feel so welcome. They were so kind and friendly. When we arrived they asked if we had had lunch, we hadn't so they drove us over to a secret little restaurant for a delicious pad Thai. We'll definitely be back!

The staff were so friendly and helpful. We arrived on Valentine’s Day to a specially decorated cake with strawberries grown on the farm which was delicious and so unexpected. A truly brilliant touch. We asked if there was anywhere to eat and after phoning around places which were all closed the staff made us the most delicious simple meal of local produce. Can not recommend enough. We were very sorry to go and wish we could have stayed longer.

Is it possible to review a small town? Apparently Booking reckons it is. Chiang Dao is a lovely little place. Have a look at the caves. The temple up in the forest hill is magical. Pay a quick visit to the hell garden near the main street. Apparently there's a market but I've never been to it. Eat at Nest 2 because it's some of the best Thai food you'll ever eat. Finish off the evening with a pint and a game of pool at the Cave Bar. Result = happiness.
There are only 5 resorts with pool in chiang dao but huan chiangdao resort is the nearest place from the center of chiangdao.... You want a clean perfect and quiet place... Safe and looking for a money worth vacation? Even in a short stay its perfect.... For family and friends.... we only stay for 3days and 2nights but if we have much time we would stay for more days... Even if the pool is small and only one.... You will enjoy your privacy... you have your own balcony to relax....
Such an exotic destination for nature lovers to discovering along the route to Doi Luang Chiang Dao. Worthy to visit once in Life. We enjoy explored both natural and also lovely coffee shop nearby the stream at Tree house and Kang Pan Tao.
A quiet escape from Chiang Mai. Some great coffee stops, great range of food options. Visiting the temple and hiking the mountains a must. Plenty of opportunity to relax as everything closes down pretty early !
We decided to go to Chiang Dao for a relaxing break from Chiang Mai. We were hoping to fit in some walks or a hike up the Chiang Dao mountain. Instead, we were in a remote resort which had a lovely view and pool and ended up staying closer to the area. We visited some hot springs and sticky waterfalls just north of Chiang Dao which were very much worth visiting. We also visited the cave temples which were quite impressive. We found Chiang Dao quite spread out and difficult to get around without a scooter or car. It was also necessary to be comfortable driving a scooter or motorbike on quite a busy highway if you are doing that. The food was amazing in Chiang Dao and you probably can't go wrong. A good call-out if you're missing and craving Western food is the Nest. We had a great meal reminiscint of something we may have in a nice London restaurant! Also be sure to check out a great craft beer spot (in the middle of no where), Microkosmos. It may become slightly boring around Chiang Dao unless you're able to plan a few walks/treks ahead of time but there is still plenty to do for 3-4 days. It's also a great place to relax away from the city with some gorgeous scenery.
The first great thing about a trip to Chiang Dao is the drive from Chiang Mai. The town itself is typical of Northern Thailand. There aren't a lot of options for dinning and drinks but you'll find plenty of local places. The people are friendly and helpful. Our highlight was Chiang Dao Cave, which is one of the best I've seen in Southeast Asia.

On quiet country road with beautiful mountains in the background, close to cave and semi close to bus stop. Comfortable and clean. Staff member who spoke English had plenty of good local knowledge of what to do in the area though you will likely need your own wheels to get to places. Hotel had scooters to rent.
