Cape Nidhra Hotel

Cape Nidhra Hotel

Hua Hin Night Market, Hua Hin

Located along Hua Hin Beach, Cape Nidhra Hotel is a 10-minute drive from Hua Hin Railway Station. It features luxurious beachfront accommodation with a spa and a fitness centre. The Cape Nidhra is becoming me second home in Thailand. I have rated this property many times already and till now they have always taken great care of me and my guests. Absolutely stunning hotel, but what makes it really amazing is their staff. Trust me, compared to other hotels, their pictures on booking.com or their website are not deceiving. You will literally get what you see, plus much more from the great staff. See you next time =)

Tim, the manager of the place was super friendly and assisted us in very well English from before our travel, during travel and during check out. The rooms are very big, clean and have a beautiful style. It's close to the city center and the staff even arranged a scooter and a minivan pickup for us. Overall we had an excellent stay!

Villa Baan Malinee

Villa Baan Malinee

Hua Hin

Surrounded by several golf courses, Villa Baan Malinee offers accommodation with golf service including of a shuttle service to Banyan Golf Club and Seapine Golf Club provided. We spent 2 wonderful weeks at Villa Baan Malinee. The room is superb in every way: the size, décor, 5* comfort and tranquil location are second to none. The owner, Marleen, was wonderful to deal with from start to finish. She is at once both generous and professional. It is quite clear that she loves what she does. At check in we received a Smartphone (Thai Sim) to use during our stay. We had stayed in Villa Baan Malinee in previous years (without our son) and were delighted to be able to bring him along this time to experience this corner of paradise with us. The B&B is wonderfully situated with easy access (5 min by scooter) to the best beach of Hua Hin (Khao Takiab). The outside space at Villa Baan Malinee remains private and quiet if you prefer sunbathing by the pool or just chilling out on the terrace. The owner has provided everything one could possibly need within the room and it felt like home from home immediately! When you add to this an amazing breakfast buffet. Food is insanely good, almost everything homemade (smoothies, jams, salads) daily fresh bread and croissants and gorgious coffee ! Also possibility to rent a car, scooter or mountain bike at the property. Loved it!! Five out of five for everything, we didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back!

The Restro

The Restro

Khao Takiab, Hua Hin

Situated only 200 metres from the beach, The Restro is located in Hua Hin. Free WiFi access in all areas and free private parking are both offered. Restro is a really cute little boutique hotel (just nine rooms). It’s tastefully done, and has a great pool area with equal amounts of sun and shade throughout the day (the beach isn’t so great for sunbathing!) The people who run Restro are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great - some buffet things, and a choice of hot meals which you order the day before. The room was excellent. Spacious and very nicely furnished. There’s bathrobes, slippers, a safe, a fridge, a minibar and hot drinks. And a fantastic window seat to relax on. WiFi good throughout the property. Although it’s a little way from the centre, there are green buses every 15 mins (10/15 baht), and a number of good food offerings within walking distance.

Maintaining the Warmth

One can get a little nostalgic when talking about the development of Hua Hin. The first beachside resort town in Thailand was originally a small fishing village. It manages to maintain a laid-back atmosphere despite chain hotels invading the best vantage points along Hua Hin Beach.

The current King of Thailand, Bhumibol Adulyadej, spends much of his time here in the royal residence of Klai Kangwon Palace, built in 1927. The local Thai population have followed ever since as they escape the stifling heat of Bangkok.

Hin Lek Fai Hill provides the finest outlook of the bay and its 5 km-long stretch of beach. The central Hua Hin Night Market satisfies your wallet and your stomach with its mix of local souvenirs and freshly cooked seafood.

These days there is a distinctive cosmopolitan flair to the city with many restaurants and hotels purveying a European influence. It is also less hectic than Pattaya, the rival beach resort on the other side of the Bay of Thailand.

Hua Hin Airport has flights from Bangkok, and the wooden Thai-style train station is regarded as the prettiest in Thailand. The city has many hotels and resorts for families and couples and Booking.com can also accommodate you at the famous Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas.
