Koh Jum Ocean Beach Resort has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a bar and shared lounge in Ko Jum. Everything was exceptional. Restaurant was above exceptional and the waiter staff was just outstanding!. Mrs Mo just can not be commended on enough… she is a winner!! Her tireless work to have made our stay “the best” that we have had, so far, on our 45 day trip through Thailand. The owners of the Koh Jum Ocean Beach Resort really need to appreciate what they have in her talents and the individual attention she gives to all the Resort guest. Mrs Mo deserves an increase in pay, and at the earliest possible date. You do not want to lose her to another Resort !!
Located in Ko Jum, 1.5 km from Ting Rai Beach, Andaman Beach Resort Koh Jum provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area. Whats not to like? Lovely bungalows; right by the beach front; empty stretches of sandy beach; good restaurant; helpful staff; fantastic local area and island; safe to get round by scooter; good local restaurants with great food and exceptional pricing. Nothing to dislike! One of the highlights of our 4 month SE Asia tour.
Set in Ko Jum, a few steps from Ting Rai Beach, Kohjum Relax Beach offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Nice small beach with a small resort with bungalows within the trees. Spacious familybungalow with nice balcony and stunning sunset view. The staff is very nice and social, and make very good thai food and it is less expensive than the other 2 restaurants on this beach.
160 metres from a quiet sandy beach of Koh Pu, Banyan Bay Villas is surrounded by stunning natural surroundings. Beautiful views friendly helpful staff very quiet part of the island. Nai deserves a particular mention as she went out of her way to make our stay as wonderful as it was. We would have loved to stay longer but needed to get to the mainland as we had an early morning flight. Liked kayaking around and exploring the island. We ate at Banyan Bay villas every night and the food was excellent home cooked and authentic. We would like to come again. We had come to Thailand to meet my wife’s sister and her husband who live in Darwin Australia and visited several other islands before we parted.

These are very specific times. Things are always more expensive on an island and now and there is no season in the sense it used to be, less supplies are available at a higher price. Anyone who travels now needs to understand this. It makes no sense to compare the experiences with how it used to be or should be. I came by the local ferry from Laem Kruat pier, if you miss the boat, you might need to wait anouther 1-2 hours for the ext one. Krabi airport is close, I could easily reach even a morning flight by public transport, leaving at 6am in the morning. This time there was no crowd, hardly any foreigners on the island. There is not much to do, this is a place for those who enjoy simplicity, nature and having a glimpse into how local people live. The island is quite small, you can rent scooters or bicycles to get around, and it is also walkable. Shops have very basic supplies, so you need to take with you anything you might need, also things like simcard of a provider that does have signal there - it is very difficult to get one once you are there. Wifi at the accommodations might not work well or at all.
Simple rustic bungalows, with amazing elevated views over the ocean. The staff are some of the friendliest we have come across and the food served at the resturant was fantastic, we had no need to eat anywhere else, other than to have a change of scenery. The evening entertainment was amazing. We will return for sure and take our friends along too.
The location is fairly remote, but that's what we wanted, so met our expectations. Staff and owner are very friendly and helpful, the food and drinks were excellent. Lovely to swim in the sea, but some areas are rocky.
Quiet, calm, good food, helpful friendly staff, clean and beautiful. It's all you want for an r&r get away! The Koh Jum Resort was perfect for daytime swimming at high tide, which at this time of year (first week of December) was during the day. Definitely too rocky for night swimming, and the surrounding establishments beaches were also too rocky from what I saw. Koh Jum Resort was perfect. The wifi didn't work but it was nice to unplug anyway. There were a couple other restaurant/bars down the right side of the beach that had wifi and good drinks too.
Very beautiful island. No civilization, no crowds, people are very nice and helpful. When we used all our local money and were looking for money exchange one Thai woman gave us her bikes to not walking a couple km without any money or passport. After she gave as delicious herbal tea. She has courses of Thai food- it’s was the best experience!!!! People made this island really nice ! Good- everywhere is very delicious and cheap as funny!!!!
Wrong time of travel, very windy which creates sad to say it but a dirty beach with glass everywhere and random trash. Not a place for an adventure seeking person but more for a couple that just wants to relax.
Good location within short walking distance to beaches, eatery right opposite hostel, shop like 7/11 where you can pay with the card - just nextdoor. Informative tour desk run by hostel admin who speaks a good english and is just hepful nice person himself. Very affordable transport over the island, lots of oldschool massages on the beaches and so on. Good comfortable bed, large room. Property looks new and this is big plus comparing to many old rusty boxes called bungalows.
Great value for money, the staff are so nice. Bungalows are large and clean, in forest shade. The long beach is great, clean and firm enough for walks in the shoreline. Excellent transport service: on arrival without wait, from the eastern side to Jungle Beach (50 baht), on departure with longtail which meets the ferry from Ko Lanta/Phuket/Phi Phi to Krabi (included in the ferry ticket). Good room price January 2019: around 650 baht.
Very authentic way of accommodation. Very simple but nice. Terrace with hammock and chairs. Family pick us up at the pier and we got a watermelon as welcome. :) very nice restaurant just a few meters from accommodation. Quiet peaceful place. Family recommended where to rent scooter because they didn’t have any available and they gave us lift. I would definitely comeback to this place. We could see a real life in Thailand. :)
We absolutely LOVED our stay here!! It was paradise perfection!! The bungalow, the food, the activities and massages, the resort/location, the people!! AMAZING! We didn’t want to leave! Wish we had booked a longer stay but we are definitely already planning our next visit. As soon as you arrive you’re welcomed into their home and feel relaxed and at peace! Best experience ever! Thank you Oon Lee Bungalows!
Loved our stay on Koh Jum. Family run property with delicious food. Location a few minutes from one of the main beaches on Koh Jum and nicer beaches a short bike ride away. You can rent bikes from the hotel for 80 baht and ride around the island, they also have scooters for 250 baht a day. Room was nice and comfortable. They have free water refill.
We‘ve usually booked a teak villa with seaview but when we recognized that the villa was not at the front row we could change to a bamboo hut at the front which had a marvelous view. The staff was very friendly and engaged. The food was delicious. Also the day trips organized by the hotel to the phi phi islands and chicken island were great.
Season Bungalow was our favourite place we stayed in the Thai islands. Koh Jum is the most beautiful, quiet, secluded island and our bungalow was just metres from the sea. The beaches are beautiful, the staff are so helpful and we liked the food so much we ate there every day. We even booked an extra night.
Very nice bungalows, great location, one of the last islands in Thailand that are not overcrowded. Staff was great, very helpful and friendly. And yes, there are dogs on the property and generally on the island, which is a plus for me, but just FYI if you are not a dog lover.
Nice small beach with a small resort with bungalows within the trees. Spacious familybungalow with nice balcony and stunning sunset view. The staff is very nice and social, and make very good thai food and it is less expensive than the other 2 restaurants on this beach.
The family who runs this place are absolutely the sweetest people you will ever meet and so accommodating. This is one of those places you can't really believe exists and there going to be many places like it. Just two bungalows right now. So special.
Very beautiful place and we really had relaxed holiday there. The beach was great and calm. There is a free transportation from ferry and back. You can rent a motorbike from hotel. Helpful staff!
Nice resort direct on the beach
The staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The pre-arrangements on transfers and other requests undertaken by the staff of KJBV were prompt and professional. The place is indeed a secret gem where it is not busy, crowded or commercialised yet has all the facilities you need for comfort. Rooms were very comfortable, the living area is very spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. It has a private beach which we truly enjoyed and the activities offered by KJBV were really fun!
The place is very well kept and peaceful. The owners were especially great with us and our little boy. We got the family bungalow that was big and well built. Everything was clean and the area is very quiet.
Kwan and Bao who take care of the guests are wonderful. We were so well taken care off and they were extremely friendly. They organized every little trip for us. It was perfect.
