Opinion is divided on pattaya as lots of people see it as just an adult entertainment city and nothing else but there is so much more too it. Due to the vast array of different people who visit pattaya there are hundreds of diverse shops restaurants and services which cater to all cultures and tastes and you can sample them all there is no frowning on of ethnic backgrounds in pattaya you can be from anywhere and you will be welcomed. Another interesting thing about this place is it is very busy yet you can find many tranquil relaxing places to chill amongst the madness. Pattaya is an interesting and busy place to visit, I enjoy going there to escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok , and even though Pattaya does get busy it retains the right for it's size feeling. Lots to do and see nearby with local taxis Bolt or Uber charging decent prices to get around. Many many restaurants and bars so you are spoiled for choice as to where to go. Has lots to offer depending on needs. An active, crowded, busy central bar/night club, massage, food carts area, malls, market, beach, and a more quiet relaxed outside area with all the new condo buildings. People are very nice and tolerant of communication differences. Must see the Art in Paradise exhibit. Walk around the Pattaya City sign, Walking Street, Tree Town area, and light house area.
