The location was brilliant - a 5 minute walk from the railway station and night market.
Towels, soap and bottled water were provided.

Understand that the hotel is less than a year old, the rooms and facilities were new and clean.
The buffet breakfast is awesome, and it is definitely one of the highlights. The bathroom design is modern and comfortable. These are really hard to find in most Phatthalung dated hotels. Despite the price, we always explore and support new hotels during our regular visit to Phatthalung.

Orn is very responsive and helpful.
Breakfast convenient.
Orn had an old motorbike we could use for free, so we looked around and visited the Botanic Gardens. So generous.
The internet is fine. I did a couple of video conferences and it worked (I had my phone data just in case). It’s not the best WFH situation, but is doable.
Location is amazing. Not just because it’s near the wetlands (for the unmissable 5:30am 2.5hr 900 baht sunrise boat trip. Take binoculars!), as there are other hotels that are right on the water. But it’s great because it’s on the edge of the village on stilts. The village is such a privilege to experience. We saw a lot of weaving processes, fishing/drying, and a travelling traditional show- welcomed to join and eat with the locals. Lovely to see how people really live here. We stayed 7 nights, and although that was a bit long, it allowed us to get to know the village and experience nature more. Note the room isn’t cleaned in that time, though you could probably ask. Orn likes to make sure guests are happy.
Cafe The Beat Baker (near the temple) has the best coffee and cakes, but next door Le Noi Berry cafe has a nice vibe. We really liked the food at a nearby restaurant but it isn’t on Google. It’s next to Koten coffee.

The water fowl wetlands experience was awesome, the closeness to nature (with the birds and the grazing water buffalo) could never be better! Wonderful sunrise view in the wetlands and mountains! The flying river occurred in the mountain early morning was mystical and uncanny!

Phatthalung is one of the underrated cities in Thailand. People usually stop here for a day trip to go to Kao Ok Thalu and proceed their journey to Surat Thani.
I love it this way, because not many tourist come here and its charms are the beauty of the nature and the people. Especially after the rain where the mountains are shadowed by the mist. It's one of the best views in my life.
If you visit here, respect and humility are important. Most people do not speak English so it is good that you try speaking Thai with the locals.

We were on a birding holiday, and so came to Phatthalung to take a boat ride on Thale Noi. Our hostess was helpful in setting us up with a good boatman and he stayed out longer than expected to make the most of it for us.
