Beatiful room, comfortable bed, could almost see the beach, access to the kayaks for free and use of the shared spaces even when we checked out was very helpful. Hammock was great, and staff was helpful in telling us about mosquitos and providing solutions. The mosquito coil under the Hammock was perfect.

The location is great, walking distance to the pier and food market. The staff were friendly, and everything felt clean. A/C worked in the room. Decent value for what you’re paying.

Very quaint Ocean front Resort. Individual cabins each with its own hammock.
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Thong Sala this weekend is $55 or, for a 4-star hotel, $155. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Thong Sala for this weekend cost around $46 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
This hotel is not a party place. It is for relaxation and serenity. The town is a 10 to 15 minutes walk. The pier, 7/11, bakery and many bars and restaurants. Tons of scooters which are basically the only mean of transportation if you don’t want to walk. A nice night market open nightly with good food and souvenirs. After being in Koh Samui for over a month as older people we enjoyed Thongsala because of the ease of walking to town. If you like to shop you will find hundreds of typical beach shopping. The town itself is surprisingly quite big. Definitely on top of our list for favorite beach town.

Thong Sala was our favorite city.
Thong Sala was our favorite city. Good energy, a lots of good food (a lot of vegan restaurants), markets.
Not too party and not too hippie. Was a good mix of everything and of locals and tourists.
Very good located to reach all the beaches with the scooter.

I love Thong Sala.
I love Thong Sala. Great food, bars and lots of things to do and see! They have Muaythai Chinnarach who provides the best training even if you just want to learn a new sport or keep fit! There is an english pub The Masons Arm - a friendly guy called Stephen will make you feel so welcome! Great beaches you can walk along and I love the sunsets from Becks Resort!

Clean little town with a big variety of restaurants.
Clean little town with a big variety of restaurants. Ask for Nopp - he is an amazing, flexible, affordable tour guide who feels more like a friend and takes you around the island at your own pace and wherever you want to go. He also offers bike/scooter riding lessons for you to do your own exploring on a bike/scooter. It is a popular means of transport in Thong Sala and the whole of Koh Pangan. Nopp's number is: +66 81 682 9727.

Tho gsala is a good central point to stay , you can then hire a scooter to visit the west (yoga and wellbeing community)and north where the good beaches are (Haad Yao ,Haad salad) or travel south to Haad Rin with sunrise beach and of course the full moon Party
Great food market!.
Hiring a scooter is a must to get around ,no buses and taxis will start at the pier but getting them elsewhere is a pain and your just have to wait

It's just an okay area.
It's just an okay area. Beaches are too shallow, feels a little too touristic and believe there are much nicer places to visit on the island. But we are all different so maybe try for a day and see what you think.
Perfect location, near everything you need. Beautiful garden with hotel owner keeps an eye on himself. Exceptional room cleaning quality! No bugs, ants, spiders or other insects in the room (besides mosquitoes if you leave the door open). Birds and cicadas in the garden create impression that you live in heaven. Nice kitchen area near the pool allows you to cook anything you want, our friends made fruit shakes one night, all equipment on board.
It was a nice place to stay considering the price. Very close to the ferry stop - it was very easy to walk to hotel from the port. The room was spacious and you got to keep your things nicely next to your bed. Locker was much appreciated. Rooftop with it's hammocks was really nice and cozy place to chill. Loved the fact there were yoga mattresses you could use. Lots of space on the rooftop to practice yoga etc. The host is very helpful.
super conveniently located in thong sala near the pier, great restaurants, shopping and all the other traveller conveniences. the owners were super helpful in securing us a motorbike rental, and welcoming us. we loved that there was a fridge with cold water for us to drink and refill our water bottles from glass pitchers (no plastic water bottles hurrah!)
Thank you for staying at this hotel. The hotel owner is very friendly and helpful. The room, bed and bathroom are all clean. The bed also is very comfortable! There is an air conditioner in the room. There is a great breakfast area downstairs. I was expecting less, but I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful experience.
I actually took the wrong key out with me and had to break back in at 2.30am with some men who smashed a small paine of glass. I felt terrible about this, so the next morning I found a glazier who was willing to replace it for 100baht. The hotel accepted this and their communication with me over the issue was excellent.
Great location in the middle of Thongsala where all the ‘normal’ stuff is on Koh Pha Ngan. Very secure building, staff were very sweet and the beds were clean and comfortable! Atmosphere was not the most party social if you’re looking for that but there’s some shared spaces to connect with people if you choose to!
Julian the owner was really helpful, polite and a great host
The small swimming pool was spotless and very quiet with an outside kitchen for bbq's etc.
The grounds were lush, green and well kept
Dreamville is not beachside, it's in the town. but it is very secluded and quiet. Thongsala 5 min walk away
Location: Around 20 mins walk from Thong Sala Pier. One of the most simplistic hostels with basic facilities I have been to! We arrived some days before full moon party and were one of the only one in the hostels.
Service: The lady was super nice and honest.
Beds were super comfortable and kept neat.
A great place if not looking for a party/social hostel, ideally located in thong sala, a very short wak once you get off the ferry and close by to the night market. Babi was an amazing host and even gave us a lift to the full moon party, massive thank you.
Lovely resort on the beach and close to thong sala town and pier. Free shuttle from here to the pier too! Pool and beach area is slightly run down - broken chairs, but still a lovely hotel and well worth the value for the room in the main building
Pros: I could literally see the ocean from my bed. Bartender Lek was very nice. A lady offers Thai massages on-site.
(Side note: there are 2 photos I couldn’t remove that are not applicable to this hotel. Oy, Booking.com)
Owner was very friendly. Accommodation is in a great location. It's a short walk from Thong Sala Pier and surrounded by many restaurants including the Phangan Food Court. Aircon in room was powerful.
They did my laundry very quickly and with good quality. In the evening there was very nice to chill in the open air bar and by the pool. Really close to Thong Sala Pier (if it is important for you).
The pool and the closeness to the beach was great. The room was beautiful, so was the whole hotel, good design. The place is stunning, has potential, but didn't live up to our expectations.
Really nice accommodation, the hammock was a nice surprise, location great for thong sala pier and next to the beach, staff were very nice and accommodating we extended our stay
