PhilippinesHotel euphemia was excellent - room was spacious, clean, it had a couch and three small tables, bed was soft, two pillows per person with a good comforter, and it's toilet and bath was spacious and clean. WiFi was fast enough for mobile gaming. It also provided toiletries, snacks, and drinks for free (+ alcoholic welcome drinks from the bar). The TV had streaming and local cable so we enjoyed since we got to watch their sports channels. Their staff is friendly and the location is close to the night market but far enough that it is quiet and peaceful. You can take a quick walk to mcdonald's or 7-11 if you want a fast meal. It is also close enough to the HSR station so the uber was cheap and the bus ride was short.
Highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in taichung.

ChinaAbsolutely loved my stay here. Staff were friendly, location was great and the room was perfect. The staff helped me organise a third party company to come and do my laundry which was a bonus. Way better than a lot of more expensive hotels I've stayed in.

Rented a car in Taichung.
Rented a car in Taichung. Went to Sun Moon Lake, Gao Mei Wetlands, Cinjing Farm and Zhongshe Flower Market. We had 3 nights in Taichung and I find that it was sufficient to enjoy these attractions.
