Practically everything. A great hotel in all parameters. Big and specious room. Including two armchairs and a desk. Super comfy bed and strong water flow in the shower. It also provides free parking and the location is 20 min. walk from the night market which is great in itself.

We LOVED XIUXI, and indeed had a wonderful XIUXI. Staff are excellent, genuinely friendly and very helpful. Rooms are a good size and very well designed/thought out. Interior design throughout the hotel is also very nice, lots of texture, very Zen feel too. Breakfast is VERY GOOD it’s a set meal but honestly too much for us though we always finished everything. Am vegetarian and loved that they have that option. Anton’s favorite was the Hong Kong meal. The best mochi/buchi I have ever had too—filled with black sesame. Afternoon snack is offered in their coffee-tea bar, don’t skip this! The snacks and drinks are very good too. Location is quiet and a short walk to old town sights

    Stunning and brand new hotel. This place is both a classy hotel and a classy hostel (as the name suggests). The hostel part is basically a high end kitchen and common area, but really doesn’t have the feel of an hostel as its price is still high. Rooms are amazing, with an industrial/loft style and feel. Possibly the best hotel we stayed in in our 3 weeks in Taiwan.

    It was unusual to have 2 separate dining rooms for Asian & Western breakfast. Most 4/5 stars hotel in Taiwan would offer both styles under one setting. The offering was somehow limited.

    One of the best quality hotel rooms I’ve stayed in (and I’ve stayed in a lot of five star hotels) - overall vibe is cool but comfortable. I nearly didn’t book because of the mention of the hostel and it would have been a huge mistake - the shared spaces with the hostel rooms are also lovely (massive relaxing terrace and kitchen area) but the private rooms feel like staying in a luxury hotel.
