It was very clean and spacious, it’s very close to the beach too, quiet neighbourhood. Rooms were cleaned regularly and the staffs were really great. The breakfast was really delicious and filling

The somewhat isolated beachfront location was ideal. The beach felt private and shoreline beautiful. Activities within walking distance. Water lovely for swimming in. Infinity pool also rather perfect. Facility provided everything desirable for relaxing. Ate all meals onsite and everything was truly delicious.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Utupoa. After three nights, we really felt like it was our home away from home. The building is a wonder and itself worth the visit. Joyce and her team were so attentive, personable, and helpful and family-style meals were excellent. Utupoa sits directly on the beach and easily reachable by foot from the village of Matemwe. This hotel is the definition of a hidden gem! Very calm, quiet, and understated yet a few minutes walk to the beach where you can watch the sunset. My room looked exactly like the pictures, which was great. I was a female solo traveller and the only guest at the time, but Angy and her staff were all very personable and helped me feel comfortable. They helped me with my transport needs and various requests without hassle. If you want a place to unplug yet have easy access to Michamvi, this is a great place to stay!
