My exceptional experience all started prior to check in. I was contacted by Sophia inquiring about my early arrival and transport from the airport to the hotel. She made sure all my needs are met. This hotel is located in the south west of the Zanzibar Island, and away from the busy tourist area. The bungalows are exceptionally well designed and very comfortable. I felt like living in a tree house. Its clean and the staff are very responsive and friendly. The food at the restaurant is exceptionally great and made of locally grown ingredients. We had an amazing experience at Alma for 4 nights. The hotel facilities are beautiful, with lots of activities both on and off property. We made use of the pool table, darts, pool, gym, spa, kayaks, dhow boat, and more. The food was amazing, and it was so nice to have breakfast and dinner included, no need to worry about finding a place to eat. The menu was large, so even though we were there for 4 nights, we were not bored. The staff are amazing, super attentive and personable. A true gem of a hotel in Zanzibar.
