Located in Lushoto, 5 km from West Usambaras Lushoto Mountain Reserve, Lawns Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Lawns Hotel is situated a bit outside the town center, but a short walling distance away. It has beautiful setting with gardens and terrace. We stayed twice, at the start and end of our mountain trek, and it was a real treat. Both rooms were comfortable and . clean . Breakfastwelll was excellent.

David and his family are very nice, and help us with a recomendations. The only thing is that the room was a little bite cold, but we ask for a solution, and David solve it inmediatly. David help us to learn more swahili. And the place is amazing, you can try to found their kamaleons. And the pumpkin cream was delicious (kitamu 😉) Baadaye David!

If you visit the Usumbara Mountains, we would highly recommend to stay in Swiss farm Lodge. It’s heaven on earth. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, the surroundings are mindblowing and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Emanuelle and his team made our stay very special. The food was so tasty and a lot comes from their own farm. We also did a lovely nature walk in the area. It’s not yet very touristy, which we quite enjoyed.

Beautiful location 15 - 20 minute walk to downtown, with a nice view and a large balcony, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and very reasonable. Our host Mickfanaka was great: warm, friendly, helpful and accommodating.

That place is worth visiting.
That place is worth visiting. Half the way from Dar es Salaam to Arusha, that's a good place to make a stop a full day and maybe more. The Usambara mountains are amazing. Book some visits with a guide from the Friends of Usambara Society. They are very professional and a part of your payment is supporting great projects as a tree nursery, or schools building.

I have been living and working in Dar es Salaam since July 2018, and hands down Lushoto was my best trip within Tanzania so far. Great for relaxation, hiking, and the cool weather! Definitely will be heading back!

Cold and greeny land in the mountains that offers exclusive touch of pure life. Its People are welcoming. Using public buses in the evening on your way up might be hectic and disapointing probably scary but you will like the experience. The mountains (Irente) and other make the place wonderful. You can have transport to both Arusha, Tanga town and Dar es salaam. Its a must visit place. For mountain bicycle lover and those who love hiking and walking tours, this is a must visit place.

We enjoyed our stay in Lusotho and went on some nice walks from the house on our own. The owner, Jerome, was really helpful. We ate dinner and breakfast at his place with his family which was nice but simple. We love animals and the dogs at the house are very friendly, one of them came with us on our walks, and it felt as if it was our own dog. We named her Rafiki. She has a scar on top of her left eye. We felt very sad to leave her. We would like to know that she is well and fed every day. If you can get some food for her in the market (please). The accomodation is nice with a lovely garden and nice views. You have to walk up the hill to get there but the owner may be able to pick you up. Irente View point is an enjoyable walk and lunch and coffee at Irente farm are amazing!
