I really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. The staff was fantastic and I left them tips in the tip box. The dinner was nice with a wonderful menu. That view from the restaurant was very much or I should say has very much adjusted my outlook on life. I am more calm these days 2 weeks on! I hope this continues or I will have to return for more good living from Royal Cliff. I also liked the fact that there were folks on hand that could arrange excursions to points all over the island.

The property is so pretty- the gardens are beautiful and it’s a quick walk to the beach. Although TianDe isn’t directly on the beach, Mariola (the owner) has a friendly relationship with a neighboring hotel that is first row, so guests can spend time there during the day. The bar and restaurant area are lovely and the food is yummy and fresh- we tried breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool is sparkling, and the staff is warm and hard-working. Our room was clean and comfortable, with A/C, tea/coffee, good shower, nice decor. Mariola and her boyfriend live on site- they are doing a fantastic job running TianDe with a lot of hard work and love. We wish them success and will recommend to TianDe to anyone traveling to Zanzibar.

If we knew how much we would love this place we would have stayed here the whole time we were on the island, taking day trips to explore. The bungalows were newly constructed with every detail thought of such as universal outlets on both sides of the bed and a fully adjustable shower with great water pressure. The food was delicious, the staff happy and kind, and the live music on some nights created a festive atmosphere.
