Reaching the hotel without car is super easy aswell, there is a bus stop 5 mins from the hotel where te buses go to Ivano-Frankivsk direction quite often. The accomondation is cozy and or room was very big, even though not so well equipped. Vorokhta is even a good starting point for Hoverla, a lot of people go by car under the ontain and then the final hike by foot, but we started in th emorning from Skyta and went by foot all the time up to the montain and then back (it was 44 km haha, but it is an option) :) wifi worked well. It is 20min by foot to the center of Vorokhta.

Offering a restaurant, Туристичний комплекс ВОРОХТА 365 Turistichesky Kompleks Vorokhta 365 is located on the territory of the Karpatsky Nature Reserve in Vorokhta, 850 metres above sea level.
Nice and small town from which most of tourists begin their Carpathian trips - some go to Bukovel to ski in winter or just to have fun in summer, others go to explore Carpathians. Make sure you have cash as there is only one ATM in the town (not far from the railway station) and shops accept only cash. There's travel agency- Fayno tour located in the same area and they have all kinds of excursions and daily mountain trips for good prices. If you stay in Vorokhta itself, you can always walk around - mountains are beautiful everywhere.
There is not much in the actual city: no museums, no special restaurants (Stariy Vorokhta is the best, but nothing really great), virtually no shops. This town is more like a tourist base to go to other nearby cities (Verkhovyna for museums, Yaremche for souvenirs, Bukovel for skiing, climing Mount Goverla) or to do other outdoor activities (camping, hiking, fourwheeling/quadrocycling, rafting, horseback riding). I was glad to choose to stay in a small hotel ("guesthouse") in Vorokhta for a very quiet, relaxing vacation, and traveling into the nearby towns when I felt like more activity.
To reach the mountains you need to take a ride, so make sure you plan your trip well, book the rooms and the train tickets (if travelling by oublic transport) in advance, cause everything might be taken on summer season. There is not much to do in Vorokhta, but from here you can easily reach Goverla and etc.
Before this year's trip to Vorokhta, last time I was there more than ten years ago and a lot has changed from that time. Unfortunately, there is no longer a working cable car and a springboard, but I just felt nostalgia for my memories from childhood. The thing you should understand about Vorokhta is that in the first place the rest here is a rest from the noisy cities and a large number of people. If for vacation you need to have a choice where to eat, where to buy souvenirs and just have fun - then you should stay in Yaremche, which is not so far from Vorokhta and is a more developed tourist center. However, if you like silence, calmness, fresh air and hiking, you will enjoy Vorokhta. First of all, I want to say that this settlement is quite large in length and if you travel without a car, it is better to immediately take a taxi near the railway station, because on your own you'll have to go for a long time and on a rather bad road. In addition, I advise you to take a taxi driver's business card at the hotel or cafe, because it turned out to be quite difficult to call a taxi. Among the places that are worth a visit here are two viaducts, churches, the remnants of the springboard, beside which is also the souvenir market, as well as the river Prut. By the way, if you go to Vorokhta in the Summer and you want to swim, near a viaduct that passes over the river, there is a small bridge, under which there is a rather deep place where you can swim normally, despite the fact that the Prut is not enough deep mountain river. Among the places where you can to eat is I can reccomend restaurant "Stara Vorokhta", where they cook really tasty meals. Have a nice vacation in Vorokhta!
Vassil is an extraordinary host who made our stay in this beautiful house in the Carpates even more enjoyable. The house itself is a cosy 4 bedroom chalet with a magnificent view of the mountains. When we arrived, Vassil showed us around and made us feel very welcomed. We talked with him about our plans for the next few days and he offered to guide us in the mountains. Thanks to him, we discovered beautiful alternative routes, we ate regional dishes at the top of a mountain with real shepherds and we picked delicious mushrooms in the forest. During our time there, Vassil went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience of the region and possible and he's without a doubt one of the best hosts we've ever encountered. We are absolutely thrilled with our stay and would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet getaway in the mountains or to discover the region with a guide.
Very cozy little mountain town and the gateway to Zaroslyak and mount Hoverla. I'm sure there's much more to do when you speak Ukrainian and know what the options are. It was a bummer for me, would've done way more if there was proper guidance... this town can earn a lot more money from non native tourists, they just need to make a little more effort..
Great location, very quiet if traveling off season, right in the middle of hills. Short walk to the town center of Vorokhta, and a great hiking route just across the road. There is a restaurant on the territory that served very good breakfast - both delicious and filling at a good price. Our flat (two rooms) was very nice and clean, and had a seating area, which made a lot of difference. There is also a seating area outside and possibility to have a fire or grill. The staff members were wonderful!
