I did not get the accessible room I had booked back in September 2023. My room and all the public rooms smelled of stale smoke. A martini glass lay in the hallway on our floor from our arrival to our departure.
The clock in my room was thirty minutes fast. The TV did not work. My room, and the other room, overlooked the roof of the restaurant. On said roof was rotting garbage.
In the other room the water ran out of the faucet in the tub when the toilet was flushed and the safe was locked.
For over $1000 for two rooms overlooking garbage, the hotel deserves no stars at all. Additionally, messages I sent to them before arrival went unanswered. When I first checked in they had only done it for one room, not both, and we had to begin again.
In February I stayed overnight at Ocean House in Rhode Island. For $2300 for a night in a suite that had four bedrooms, included snacks, a stocked bar, breakfast and a book as well as views of the ocean, the price came out to less than $400 per person versus this Hilton where for over $500 per person we got to park (for $20 - free at Ocean House) near the MVP and sleep in our rooms smelling of stale-smoke overlooking garbage.
The staff was pleasant enough. The lobby chairs were comfortable. The pool was okay. But the public rooms all stank of the stale smoke with an overlay of air freshener. I had read other reviews, so I wasn't expecting it to be wonderful, but I did not anticipate the garbage or the smells. Additionally, the price for each room had gone up $135 since the reservation I had for September which was crazy. And let's not forget I did not get the room I reserved over nine months ago. So,

Attended basketball games at MVP Arena. .9 mile walk...downhill .4 miles, mostly flat the last half-mile. Walk back wasn't fun, and the uphill part isn't the nicest neighborhood. But I welcomed the exercise part.
If eating in, stick to simple to prepare meals. No stove. Hotplate, microwave, Toaster oven, coffee maker.
Lark Street and New Holland have lots of dining options and functional YMCA.
Washington Park has walking options, and when the weather is nice, I'm sure the tulips are, too.

My advice don't use this location. Dirty floors none of the amenities they said we would have. The heater wea extremely loud and only blew cool air even though we had the heat on. And the phone to call the front desk did not work.

The laminate floor inside the room was peeling up, tripping hazard, the tub/shower did not work, no water. On arrival and at checkout the staff was sitting in the lobby watching television. I had to wait for them to get assistance.

The room was unwelcoming.
The room was unwelcoming. Upon walking in the room immediately smelled of stale smoke and there was a possible blood stain on the window. There was also unidentifiable stains on the bed sheets. The door was not secure enough for sleeping overnight and you can hear through the walls and ceiling. Felt too unsafe and unclean.

The central down town is deteriorating with a large and unfortunate homeless population. This being said I felt safe as I walked though out the area.
Overall the downtown is clean and the architecture outstanding. Rockefeller plaza is outstanding , safe and clean at all hours. The NY museum and Albany institute of history and art are outstanding.
Restaurants in the center city are somewhat sparse though on the south west fringe they are good

The bedrooms had bad smells, which lingered on our clothes for several days afterwards.
The breakfast, if you can call it that, was of very poor quality.
The cooridors were dirty.
Check in was very badly organized.
All in all our one night stay was one night too long and a complete disaster.
Good option when in Albany if you have a car. Functional and clean room, very good bed. I loved the lemon-scented soap and shampoos! Breakfast was standard, but it's fun to watch the pancakes being made in the machine. Close to a very large mall although the Stuyvesant mall nearby is nice as it's filled with independent shops.
Traveling the Empire State Trail by bicycle from Buffalo to Albany, I was so thankful to stay at this wonderful hotel! The room was immaculately clean and very spacious. There was plenty of room for my bike. The staff went out of their way to make sure that all my needs were taken care of during my stay. Thank you!
This was my first visit to the Hilton Albany. It is centrally located with on-site parking. The front desk staff was extremely personable and exceptionally accommodating. My room was immaculate. I intend to make this my "go to" hotel for my future and frequent visits to Albany.
Convenient location to the airport. My flight was canceled and it was great to have a place to stay over in Albany that didn’t require a trip downtown. Staff were excellent: friendly and accommodating after a stressful airport experience.
There was lots of space in the apartment and the kitchen facilities were very good. it also has a great shower. It’s in a great location with easy access to downtown Albany and a supermarket about 2 minutes walk away.
The place was 2/3 the price of the next cheapest motel in Albany. I was expecting a place to flop, and they delivered. I can’t be too hard on them, however. If you want Hilton amenities, go pay Hilton prices.
We loved everything. The front desk was friendly at check in and check out and during our stay. The pool area was clean and quiet and the room was just amazing! My favorite hotel.stay so far!
When I am traveling with my family, I look for a hotel that has a good looking breakfast and a pool. The location was not interesting, but it was an easy drive down to the capitol area.
Bed was comfortable. Walk in shower. Large room. Easy access to the hotel. Staff friendly. Lots of parking. Restaurants and shopping in the area. Small, simple breakfast was available.
They have great and knowledgeable staff. The best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. The fruit was so fresh and yummy! The rooms were huge and I loved the little kitchenette!
The location close to the airport is perfect for our needs. The front desk staff are also personable and very helpful. The hotel itself is very good and fits all of our needs.
Great for the price. What you would expect. Stayed here on a trip up to Vermont so did not really use it for the Albany airport, but was in a great location for the highway.
Clean, comfortable, spacious and well located for our visit to our son. Staff friendly, helpful and responsive. Much less expensive than the downtown Albany motels.
The hotel is simple but very close to the university. The cleaning of the rooms was done regularly and the staff was very nice. The bed was quite comfortable.
