Glynn was an amazing host and innkeeper. We followed his recommendations for food and hikes around the area and both turned out to be excellent choices. Just a 10 minute drive from Tenney Mountain, this hotel features a full service spa and an on-site restaurant. Plymouth State University is less than one mile away. The Common Man is somewhere my family really enjoys going to when we are in New Hampshire. We like that is a different kind of inn - built from an old factory. It's charming, rooms are spacious and the restaurant is good too.
Ashland is a beautiful town. Centrally located by highways to get you anywhere you need to go in the entire region within a 1/2 hour. Great restaurants nearby, gas, convenience stores, Dunkin Donuts etc.. Scenery and museums, vintage houses and train station all add to the small hometown experience.
A great small town, right off I-93, in the heart of NH. Many beautiful lakes, mountains, ski areas about 1/2 to 1 hour away. Common Man restaurant and Italian Farmhouse restaurant are both Super! There's a small brewpub (White Mountain Brewery) off Winter Street in town - best beer in New England!

First time staying in Ashland, we had a great time. Foliage was just starting to change. Did a nearby hike and explored the area and lakes. A great stay without having to go any farther north for what we were looking for in a weekend getaway in NH.
Host Glenn was very helpful with suggestions, maps & brochures. Breakfast was super. Went to Castle In the Clouds which was fabulous: a 1914 mansion with amazing views of Lake Winnipesaukee. Very worthwhile if you like architecture & innovative technology before its time.
