No breakfast and when I booked it said breakfast. Only had decafe coffee. In the lobby. When asked receptionist give a negative answer and was not polite.

We were visiting Baton Rouge as our son is at LSU for a year. Previous expectations were low as there is a high crime rate and seemingly not many visitor attractions as it is a state capitol. However, after our stay at Cottages at Capitol Hill, we were well placed to get a good impression. This isn't a tourist town at all but we happily filled four days with the following: Walk around the late 18th century area at Spanish Town Rural Life Museum at LSU was stupendous - 40 reconstructed buildings, gardens and museum of historic American life - a real treat Visit the State Capitol designed by Governor Long and make sure you go to the Observation deck for great views across the city and the Mississippi Visit the Old State Capitol and admire the beautiful dome Capitol Park Museum tells the history of Louisiana, the river, the people and the culture - one of the best we have been to Great restaurants Capitol Park was lovely to walk around The campus at LSU is a great example of a large US university and well worth visiting You would need a car unless you stayed as close as Spanish Town from where you can easily walk.

The room was beautiful. Enjoyed the bar at the pool. Wish they had a certain time that the bar was closed and kids could swim. I will be using this hotel only when I visit my daughter at LSU. Great staff. Great food at the temp market.

I always use this hotel and it be fine but my experience this time was horrible the air was out the man at check in this day was rude the light in first bathroom was out and the first night the Wi-Fi was out so we couldn’t look at tv it was a mess I was in room 241 from June 6- June 8 and uncomfortable I have a rash after sleeping here I’m not sure if it was what they was with

I liked that the property was pretty close to everywhere we wanted to go in Baton Rouge including Blue Zoo at the mall, Blue Bayou Waterpark, the Raising Canes Center, the zoo, and many places to eat. Parking was super convenient and safe in front of the hotel costing only $5 a night. The Lobby was very inviting and open. Lastly, the breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. Overall, my family of 4 consisting of me, my husband, 2 yr old, and 4 yr old enjoyed our stay and we felt clean and safe.

I appreciate that the second mngr gave us a refund. I think the best part was all the people we met that were trying to make the best of a crappy situation. Each day the little circle grew black and white to enjoy the patio and laugh about our poor hotel choice.
