We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn. It is very conveniently located walking distance to shops, restaurants and waterfront. The hosts are gracious and welcoming and the breakfast was DELICIOUS. Most hotels have switched to a sliding barn style door for the bathroom. This still boggles my mind. It does not lock and there is a 1 inch gap between the door and wall where anyone in the room can see you in the shower.
General store has great Maple Nut Fudge. Has the small town beach vibe. Last time I was here I went on a sunset dolphin cruise and would have loved to went this time if I'd had longer. Crystal Coast Lady was the cruise company.
Lots of fun. We took the ferry to Shakleford Island, saw dolphins and wild horses. Also went down the road to Harkers Island and took the ferry to the Cape Lookout lighthouse. Spent time shopping and dining. Moonrakers and the Dock House were great. Beaufort Cafe was not good. Took over an hour to get our food with only 6 tables in the restaurant that were seated. Then we got the wrong food.
One of our favorite places to visit often. Small, walkable town with a big heart. Many restaurants and shops to keep you busy. Black sheep has great pizza. ‘Moonrakers‘ has wonderful views on the top deck. The fairy services are convenient and easy to navigate. Golf carts are allowed on a few main roads which is a fun way to get around.
Love Beaufort. Beautiful water front! Great restaurants. Favorite is Front Street Grill at Stillwater. Rhum Bar. Delicious food and wonderful wines! Tuna was superb and the flounder was delicious. Key lime pie is a must for those who enjoy key lime. Easy to walk in the downtown area. Great
We really enjoyed our trip to Beaufort! We did some kayaking, found some beautiful shells, and saw wild horses. We went on the sunset cruise with the Island Express Ferry Service to Shackleford Banks on my birthday. Unfortunately it rained, but the crew made every attempt to make the trip enjoyable. We saw dolphins on our way to and from the island, so I was happy! We had a great meal at Moonrakers overlooking the water and tasted some great craft beer at Fishtowne Brew House. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We drove out to Fort Macon State Park where there was a beautiful, uncrowded beach with good shelling and more dolphin sightings! I will definitely return!
