I was interested in purchasing products (home furnishings) and reviewed a well known brand name product that was well over the normal retail price both online and at other retail firms outside the Bend market.

We only stayed one night as we drove through on to Crater Lake but the little we saw, was nice. We had dinner at Pine Tavern (Not sure about the name) which is next to Bend Brewery. Food was very good as was the service.

Beautiful scenery and a lot of outdoor activity on offer. The two golf courses we played were excellent as was the rafting trip we did. Unfortunately we didn't have time to do any of the exceptional hiking and biking trails on offer.

Bend is in a lovely area, where the mountains meet the high desert, with great hiking trails in town and the surrounding area. Also decent cultural attractions including a nice outdoor amphitheater during warm weather months. If you like the outdoors, you'll love Bend.
Plenty of places to eat also.

Bend has changed a lot over the years since my first time...
Bend has changed a lot over the years since my first time there 30+ years ago. Then I would consider it the mecca of Oregon. Now, it's over populated, traffic is horrible and it's totally lost its charm. The Portland/Vancouver area has just as much to offer outdoor-wise and it's 3 hours closer to the coast, though Portland in particular has horrible traffic problems.

I love Bend and travel there numerous times throughout the year for business and to visit family.
It has grown in popularity and can be a bit overwhelming at times and prices are fairly high but the experience is amazing!
Great food options and entertainment for days besides all of the easily accessible outdoor adventure options available.
