FAQs about hotels in Boston

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.

The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.

The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.

Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.

The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

It is a very walkable city and a beautiful city.

It is a very walkable city and a beautiful city. There are so many things to see and so many interesting buildings, people, artwork, architecture, parks, etc. that you could really enjoy this city endlessly. It is calm and serene in the early morning, bustling and exciting in the a.m. as people go to work, it remains exciting throughout the day. The nighttime is a whole new environment with reflections of buildings on water features and rivers and marquees and signs and nightlife lighting up ... and as the night dies down and the crowds die down, the peace returns. There are all kinds of hardworking people moving about all throughout the day. People are walking dogs, lots of students. Lots of international students and visitors and residents - you hear the conversations - it is exciting and reminiscent of Europe. There are parts of Boston that feel like Europe and other parts that are very cutting edge. There seems to be lots of live music, lots of cafes, lots of food choices and many places to shop; you can get almost anything you need or want in this city. It's a fantastic city. Enjoy!!

I loved learning about the history of the Irish Famine and the Boston Tea Party. Walking through the parks was glorious and lovely to see that the wildlife is well protected and looked after On my last full day I did some sovereign shopping and visited Cheers as I remember watching the American sitcom situated inside the pub and it was nostalgic.

    The Freedom Trail was fantastic.

The Freedom Trail was fantastic. We enjoyed following the red brick road all over the city to historic locations. We had some amazing coffee: Sip Cafe, Beacon Hill Books and Cafe, The Well. We had clam chowder at the Boston Sail Loft and lobster rolls at James Hook & Co. Boston was very easy to navigate and we never felt unsafe.

The city was very easy to navigate, it felt smaller and more manageable than expected. The T train was exceptionally easy to use and we always felt safe while riding it. There was a restaurant around every corner that took care of all of our hunger needs. We did a lot of walking and investigating - Our top 4 spots; 1) MFA - amazing! What an art collection! Easy to navigate and beautiful! 2) JFK Presidental Library - amazing! don't miss it! 3) Lexington and Concord - worth every moment, take the guided tour on the trolley! Loved it! 4) Harvard Museum of Natural History - check out the hand blown glass botanical collection and the Earth & Planetary Sciences exhibit! Every location reachable by the T. We will be back for more

They have a very nice fine arts museum.

They have a very nice fine arts museum. I love their public library. Good parks downtown and the Charles River is good to walk by. I taught US History, so Boston's history as the beginning point of the American Revolution is always worth learning about. Traffic is bad in places, but Boston has alot of neighborhoods that feel more pedestrian friendly, including many crosswalks where the cars actually do stop for you to cross. They have a pretty good bus and subway system to get around the city. I'll be back.

Comfy beds 🛌, location-wise is perfect to commute within Back Bay area. Few minutes walk to the famous Newbury shopping street. Also, 7 minutes walking to Boston Public Garden. It is worth to spend sometime there. You will find lots of Squirrels 🐿. They are very friendly. Staff are wonderful. Our favourite spot for Breakfast is Flour Bakery & Cafe and The Friendly Toast. They are 2 minutes walk from the hotel.

Hotel very nice, located practically in front of metro station, and practically at a 15-minute walking distance from Faneuil Hall (downtown) and most important sites of Boston downtown. Hotel very modern and comfortable. View from hotel room was amazing. Nearby there are a lot of places to eat and drink as well as a very nice supermarket.

I didn't have breakfast. The location was really convenient, being right in the center of downtown Boston, especially for my professional reasons. The room was very spacious, which I come to expect from American hotels BUT did not have a wardrobe which was super weird and quite frustrating to not have a place to hang my clothes.
