It is at an extremely high elevation, so you have to drink a lot of water and give yourself time to acclimate. The town is wonderful. So many shops and restaurants. Easy drive to many different areas and activities. Breck is an easy place to get around on foot and by free bus. Getting to any of the bus accessed lifts is very easy. The town is also very nice. There are lots of places to shop and eat. Breckenridge is a great ski town, especially if you want...
Breckenridge is a great ski town, especially if you want activities and nightlife. We rented a car and drove to Vail for our last day and overall enjoyed that experience much better. The views are stunning and there's nearly 1/3rd more ski area. It depends on what experience you want (and what your budget is!) but I'd stay in the same hostel and drive to Vail again and maybe spend two days there and a day in Breckenridge instead of the other way around, but I'm an intermediate skier, so more advanced skiers might prefer the way we did it.Guest review byMeredithUnited States - 10.0

Location and quality of design and facilities was great. Dined in most nights - four adults and two little kids does that. Breckenridge is gorgeous and family members enjoyed hikes and riding in the area- and the giant troll is a must for little ones.Guest review byLachlanAustralia

The room was clean and comfy (great beds). Breakfast was good - standard American - pleasingly with no throwaway cutlery, cups and plates! The hotel location was good, at the top end of town and next door to the brewery - great beer and great food. We had a few walks from the hotel (nothing strenuous), saw the Breck Troll and walked a few miles down the valley. Great views of the snow covered mountains from the pool.
