Brookings offers amazing hiking trails and a ton of beaches that create a feel of private beaches. You can go for miles and see no one. Brookings is the last city north of California.

I always enjoy Brookings and I vacation here at least once a year. It has a moderate climate year-round nestled in the midst of outstanding scenery both north & south. The location is only 10 minutes from Brookings & 5 minutes from many local beaches. What I especially enjoyed was bathing in the claw foot bath tub overlooking the mountain view from a large picture window listening to the birds. .Wow ... so peaceful and relaxing.
