Nice property and very nice lodge. Very clean and beautiful flowers outside. Near by downtown. The room was very nice because of clean and fire. Good beds and very nice shower. In the evening there was live music in the bar. It was nice sitting insite with the music and singing, but also nice staying in the garden sitting quit in nice corners with a fire pit.

We visit there at least once a year around our anniversary or birthday's. It's a beautiful town and we love the people that live there. We always eat at Sow's Ear and also go wine tasting at near by Paseo Robles. This town never disappoints.

Cumbria is old, sort of worn out, However everything is overpriced. Few hotels offer any type of breakfast other then room coffee machine.
Nice for a day tip. Not worth staying over for high prices of rooms and restraints.

Cambria is a cute town.
Cambria is a cute town. We thought it was just a drive thru street. But the town is larger than what you see. We walked the town and shopped. Several wine tasting shops and antique stores. We were in town for the Cambria Christmas Market, what an adventure. I am so glad we went and recommend to anybody who is in the area at Christmas time. Affordable. Shuttle pickup makes this adventure an easy leisurely stroll. We also went to the 2 cemeteries in town. The town cemetery is old and pleasingly decorated by the families.

Quaint coastal town.
Quaint coastal town. Pleasant views from the boardwalk and clothing short drives to other destinations whether on coastal 1 or headed inland to wineries or pumpkin or lavender farms. 2 to 3 days is plenty of time to take in the surrounding sites and enjoy the rest and relaxation as we deploy from the hustle and bustle of SoCals rat race
The location is perfect - so close to downtown Cambria and amenities, restaurants, general store, coffee, gift and antique shops. The room was ideal (Room #8 is great!) It is an older hotel, so I'm guessing that perhaps people in ground floor rooms MAY hear those above them. We tried our best to walk about quietly in our room. There's a cool garden in the rear of the hotel, with some chairs and benches. Plenty of areas to sit near the front of the Inn as well.
Our trip and stay in Cambria was a surprise birthday gift for my fiance, not knowing this was a place she had wanted to visit for a long time, so surely a win for me. The ambiance with the surrounding flowers and trees made the place very serene and calming. The accommodations were nice with a built in rustic feel to the property. The hostess was friendly and informative. The continental breakfast gave us a nice little start to the day.
One word: Marvellous! We had the Limerick-Room - and immediately Fell in love with it. It has everything one needs for a stay in a hotel, high quality products with an irish scent (sheepmilksoap🐑) and even a fire place (though it didnt work, butcwe didnt want to check on it)
We got a great breakfast and found water and apple cidre in the fridge, above it we got a coffeemaker.
It was just pretty nice and therefore recommendable.
Great stay at the lodge! Our first time staying at this type of accommodation but it was lovely. A great atmosphere at the check-in lobby/dining hall was full of fun people enjoying the room. The hotel room itself was large and clean and had a nice fire place which made it cozy. The included breakfast was great and had everything we needed (eggs, toast, sausage, bacon, muffins, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, etc.) Would stay again!
Old fashioned spa-inn, very comfortable and spacious rooms with great beds, electric fireplace, amenities. Hotel staff were super-nice and helpful. Good parking area, and just steps to the start of the boardwalk on Moonstone beach. There is a nice quiet garden area behind the hotel which is very quiet; our first peek out the window was of a black-tailed deer wandering around.
The Castle Inn is a pleasant midcentury 2-story motel. Our 2nd floor ocean-view room (#18) didn’t face the sea head-on but at an angle, so it did have an ocean view, just not head-on as you might expect The location is great, right on Moonstone Beach in Cambria. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast offered was coffee/tea, apples and cellophane-wrapped muffins.
The location is great and the room is big and comfortable. Breakfast is simple but nice. Nearby to good restaurants and Shamel Park. Can walk over in day time under sunny weather. The Moonstone Beach Trail (around 3km) is just right in front of the hotel, good for people who likes jogging and running a bit along the trail
The location was the best part of my stay, it was close to all the best spots to visit in Cambria. Breakfast was much better than your average continental breakfast. Staff was very responsive and available via text which I found helpful. Nature surrounding the property made the stay relaxing.
Lovely quirky hotel on Cambria’s only Main Street. Very attentive staff. It felt like we were very welcome and at home. Garden at the rear is beautiful and the cheese and wine evenings were a lovely added bonus. Breakfast was delightful and for us, very different. All in all a very good stay.
The hotel is extremely well kept in a beautiful setting. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
We loved the outdoor sitting areas particularly around outdoor gas fire: it was lovely to sit there with a morning coffee.
Convenient to the Castle, the villages, access to Moonstone Beach walk, dining & shopping. Beautiful view of the ocean. Always clean, comfortable beds; appears room decor to have been recently updated.
Appreciated that the hotel was pet friendly Rooms were spacious and clean. Liked the second sink outside of the restroom. Liked the fireplace. Location was great, right on Moonstone Beach.
Really lovely property with lots of homely finishing touching giving the California surfing vibe. Loved the free bike hire and the bed was super comfy. staff very helpful too!
Great location and property. We love the aesthetics of the hotel and the proximity to coastal paths is unreal. Lovely part of California and very peaceful outdoor spaces.
Excellent, very convenient location right across from the ocean. The breathtaking shores of Moonstone Beach! The hotel is very nice. Pet friendly. Clean, nice staff.
