The Days Inn Lugoff is located 3 miles from Camden city center. Guests will enjoy a daily continental breakfast or maybe a swim in the on-site outdoor pool. We didn't utilize the breakfast area, The convenience to several eateries and stores. The staff was very pleasant and as we didn't use the maid services, it was a fine experience. Quiet in the evenings, bed was very comfortable.
The Camden West Inn is located off Interstate 20, just 5 miles from the historic Camden city center. This hotel features an outdoor pool on site and guests will enjoy free Wi-Fi. Location was basically good. It's a little back from the street so I missed it the first time. However there is a tall sign on a block which I noticed the 2nd time. Facility was well kept. I noticed a pool which was covered for the winter. Staff was cordial.
Nice quiet town with some nice architecture, and history. I went to see a re-enactment of a revolutionary war battle and attend a lecture at the Old Court House. Antique stores are good (nice selection, good quality, low prices). Tranquil pace. I look forward to going back for the steeplechase race.
Camden Archives & Museum was interesting for its extensive gun display & helpful reference material on Camden. Salud Mexican Kitchen on Broad was very good -- comfortable, attractive environment; food is made from scratch; known for their tequila selection. Margaritas best we have had. Chile relleno & coffee flan were outstanding. New Texas Bar-b-que on North Broad had great pulled pork, beef brisket & sides. The Mulberry Market Bakery on Dekalb had very good baked goods. Although we did not make it there, we understand that Mill Pond Restaurant about 10 miles out of Camden on Boykin Pond is an outstanding steak & seafood place. Their appetizers & sides looked good on online menu.
