I loved how much area there was for the children. I didn’t have to worry about them getting hit by a car! They absolutely loved the little play area and dog park! Pool was great! Hot tub was even better! The other tenants in the motel were very friendly and helpful. The family suit was perfect for my three children plus two adults!

The staff was friendly outgoing very helpful the food was amazing so was the server. She was one fantastic lady Karen was her name and we take our heads off to her. Also the front desk was very helpful and several different ways.

Very quaint old motel completely updated. Charming look outside. Nice rooms inside. Loved the gazebo style breakfast room. Organic stuffs for breakfast, if you are into that kind of thing. Proprietor works very hard at keeping this place nice.

    As a traveler, I like this town for the location.

    As a traveler, I like this town for the location. What I don't like is that my gps has a really hard time finding whatever I am looking for... And, there isn't any good places to eat in this town, and least as far as I could find. I tried several places, and all were very disappointing.. I guess this is just not a food town. And, I hate the terrible streets near the highway. I have no idea how the main highway and the the streets near it came to be, but, they are horrible. Driving is very stressful. I think that even the locals are suffering from the challenge.. I did watch about 5 deer wait at a traffic light, then cross when it was their turn to go!! How did they know?? They did better with the streets and lights than I did. They acted like they do it every day.. No hurry, just a relaxed crossing. This town is in a neat location, but needs to improve a LOT of things to improve its image.

    Beautiful we've been going to Kansas City for a long time. My best friend from childhood wrote on the train. I wish I could've joined her. The mountains are so beautiful. It's breathtaking. The people there are so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed Kansas City.

    Enjoyed our stay and visiting the surrounding area.

    Enjoyed our stay and visiting the surrounding area. Old Territorial Prison Museum was fascinating. Lots of parks. Surprisingly there were good food options including Mr. Ed's Diner and a Cajun restaurant. Mugs coffee shop had a great breakfast.

    Cañon City is where the Royal Gorge draws the tourism,

    Cañon City is where the Royal Gorge draws the tourism, but you can find incredible drives with spectacular views all around you just head west towards South Fork or South to Rye. The city is a blue collar town with very nice people and reasonably priced compared to towns more west or situated in the mountains.

    A lovely hotel & we got a very warm welcome when we arrived. I think there were only 13 rooms but ours was lovely & clean & comfortable. The hotel may seem a bit dated but the rooms are cosy & welcoming. Plenty of eating places although we were happy to go to Wendy’s just over the road. Very convenient for The Royal Gorge which was the reason for our visit. No breakfast at this hotel but we did pay at least $30 per room less than previous hotels we had stayed in where breakfast was included. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

    Small town but plenty of things to do.

    Small town but plenty of things to do. Some bars and restaurants remained open even during July 4th celebration. Art work are scattered along the main street. We even noticed the 3 Kings and the Manger on top of the mountain.

    The lady who works the night shift (short lady with blonde hair) is absolutely amazing! I have stayed here at the hotel and every time she has been so helpful! This time I was given a later check out due to issues with my flight & this was done free of charge. These guys just can’t do enough for you!!!

    I loved the hotel in the past but not having the hot tubs was a bummer. The breakfast was nice I use to love the biscuits and gravy but they don’t serve it anymore I wish it was more amenities for the price
