United StatesI loved this place because of the people it attracts-- The AT trail has an access point close by, and many thru-hikers frequent the campgrounds here. The AT hikers were friendly and so much fun to hang-out with at night. Sitting around the bonfire and listening to their stories was the best part of every night back at the motel. There's also a couple great restaurants close by. I highly recommend The Coplin House (the three course meal is stellar). My room here exceeded the needs of this budget friendly traveler, and they are clean, private and comfortable. The blackout curtains were unexpected and very much appreciated.

It made a world of difference not having to move the car. Breakfast was also great. Resort breakfast is always expensive but I felt it was a much better deal than what we would have paid at the base lodge.
